Well the UCI must have turned a blind eye to teams using the conti comp Pro ltd as these were never offered for sale either but teams used them. i'm sure there have been plenty of examples of not available to the public boots used by teams over the years.
The construction in the centre of the tread of the comp is totally different and I believe has a latex inner as opposed to the butyl of the std comp.
I wonder who they got to cycle the circa 200,000 miles on the Pirelli's, I bet like the motor racing teams they are fed up to the back teeth of them And of course MS will all say they are fabulous because they're a sponsor.
