A beautiful but hard riding day out in the North Yorkshire Moors.

Ralph Cross is a strenuous 200km (125mile) bicycle ride through the North Yorkshire Moors. Several times. From Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton-on-Tees, down through Osmotherley and Snilesworth, through Helmsley to Malton. Heading back north via Hutton-le-Hole to the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge. A quick trip to Glaisdale and Castleton before a stiff climb out of the moors to drop down again to Saltburn-by-the-sea. Leaving Saltburn there are still a few miles to go, over to Chop Gate and down via Carlton-in-Cleveland.

This is a Brevet de Randonneur, completing this qualifies you as a "long distance cyclist" and gets your name listed in the Audax UK records.

Parking available. Toilets and showers. Tea, coffee, quiche and cake available to all riders at the end.

Register online at Audax UK, paypal accepted.

I checked out the route last weekend - it's looking good. The weather is promising too!

A few spaces left for anyone interested. About 100 riders will be out on the St Francis of Assisi Audaxes this weekend.

God bless.
