FORUM's SCORUM's MINI LEAGUE 2014
Just a few points of business
1)The League we are using is the one with apostrophe's named Forum's Scorum's with an ID of 76157
2)As well as the standard competitions we will also have a UCI type ranking system(to be reffered to as FSUCI) based on pts assigned for stages and competitions as follows:
Grand Tour Overall:35,20,15,10,7,5,4,3,2,1
Grand Tour Purist Overall:10,6,3,2,1
Multi Stage Race Overall:10,6,3,2,1
Multi Stage Race Overall Purist:5,4,3,2,1
Autumn Classics/Spring Classics/Worlds/Commonwealths/Womens World Cup Overall Competitions(standard only):20,15,10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1
Every Stage:3,2,1....ties will be broken by GC position within that competition and then within the game.
Queen Stage in Giro/TDF/Vuelta:10,8,6,4,2,1
I'll try and outline the points available for each competition prior to the start
3)CUT OFF TIMES
a)Teams must be entered into the league on stage 1 of a tour/multi stage competition to be considered for the GC in that race.
b)Teams must be entered by STAGE ONE of the SPRING CLASSICS to be considered for GC in the Overall Competition.
c)Teams will be considered for stage FSUCI ranking points for individual stages on the stage in which they enter......and FSUCI ranking points for competition GC from the first race that they are entered for AT STAGE ONE.
4) Below we will keep a record of the individual competition winners and add them to those of 2013

That's deserved......this Thursday.....which will give everybody the Worlds,Beijing and the tail end of ACL,Vuelta and TOB to know what they have to do.
I must admit I had a mind to farm some of it out to enrique as he seemed to have a lot of time on his hands but with current events that seems like a bad idea......of course if anyone would like to volunteer for Poland,ENECO or USA Pro (race points only...then feel free to send it to me at ray.silvester [at] nhs.net in the format I usually post it in MINUS the overall update?
Now that this top 30 idea has been mentioned I'm constantly checking to see if this league has been updated!
As an idea - With a fixed number next year we could also have a knockout competition for Forum Scorums (e.g. league and cup). We split the competitors head to head over the major competitions.
30 people, means 5 rounds. Knockout competition based on placing last year (pits me against backflipbedlam or johnny2names based on current placing). Highest overall score in a comp wins the knockout and goes through to next round.
Spring classics, Giro, TDF, Vuelta, World Championships for the final. Highest scoring loser in Spring classics also goes forward to next round to make it a round of 16.
Looking forward to scores - I had a good Poland and Eneco

You may have read elsewhere of my intention to split the FSUCI rankings into 2 divisions with relegation/promotion next season so if you're outside of the top 30 in the FSUCI rankings or so then now's the time to grab some points to ensure you DON'T start off at Pro-Continental level next season!!

I think it's fairly obvious where I put everything on black to try to win the bike.
And it came up red. My favourite stage got me a score of -4.
