Visited Zappis many times, great coffee.
Discovered this today in Birmingham. Excellent Espresso ....

Hartley farm in Winsley and Wild cafe in Bath.
What passes as 'good coffee' is subjective, I like mine strong and bitter without milk or sugar.
A local favourite is Deli Cofano, a concession operating within Woodside Garden Centre at Poynton (Cheshire). Lovely cakes and home made soup too.
It's small but there are tables outside and a fence to secure the bike to. I've never seen other cyclists there.
Ronde in Edinburgh for excellent coffee in a bike shop
Artisan Roast- branches in Edinburgh and Glasgow, fantastic coffee, near some bike shops!
Laboratorio Espresso in the centre of Glasgow- also fantastic, bike shops near by.
And finally- the Apple Pie Bakery in Carnwath- not very good coffee but cheap and welcoming with lots of roadies!
Bit far from you, but Zappis bike cafe in Oxford does a thoughly decent espresso whilst having some cool bike-stuff on the walls. Shame it's always packed with the macbook pro brigade.
Up north the Priory Hall and the Music Room in Lancaster are great
Oh yes lots of character there and a really good gran fondo / sportive organised by Zappi each summer. the 2014 had some young pros in too from his team - I attempted to keep up for a bit!
Bike Bus in Cranfield
I now genuinely think that most people can't read..... Pointless. Time to move to roadcyclinguk.
If you're ever around tarragona/salou in spain, don't try the local coffee joints, as they all seem to by the same coffee brand, that I'm sure is made from reconstituted rat droppings! In fact it's so bad that Macdonald's coffee actually tastes good(cambrils beach front)
now if only the spanish could make a decent pot of tea
Tea and a bacon roll for me please.
Where in the city centre is 200 Degrees?
I guess you're from round my way as Matlock and Belper area are my cycling haunts along with Southwell way.
No. 73, Uppermill. And doppio espresso is for girls. Quadruplo ristretto is the way forward.
Water in coffee is for the weak and needy. Like grinding the beans.
Tea shits on coffee.
Get out, blasphemer.
My LBS has a lovely coffee machine, so that. No idea what they use. Free coffee and bike porn in a one stop shop.
I'm glad I'm not the only heretic. Can't stand coffee. Feel like this makes me wrong.
Coffee's great first thing, but on a long, tough, cold ride, its a cup of tea over any other drink, even the energy ones, which keeps me going.
My coffee/tea ratio is probably generally about 9/1 but there are times when only a good cup of tea will do. Things like the end of a good day out in the hills for example- I rarely have coffee at Pete's Eats for example!
