On the broken theme not able to see the new bike pics just posted can't be seen. If you select newest first those are from a year ago.SO IT'S STILL BROKEN!!!!!
Come on it can't be so hard shurely to fix this so I can get my bike fix.
Fire's too good for it.
KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!!
PLEEEAAAASE!!!! Get rid of it. It REALLY IS annoying.
It surely is the most annoying feature any webgeek has ever come up with. This person should be taken outside and soundly thrashed with a folded copy of Cycling Weekly.
THE most annoying thing ever - I'll take my clicks elsewhere from now on.
Yes, it really is a most irritating feature.
When you try to click it off it takes you to the page it is advertising - which I have invariably read anyway.
Could you please do us a favour and switch it off?
I don't even see the 'X' to close. Just sticks out over the article I'm trying to read. Please turn off.
And the (CSS based?) mouse-hover menus are all over the shop.
IE 11.0.9600.18015
Yup, bloody irritating, made more so by the accuracy needed to hit the 'X' - unless it highlights you haven't.
At least it only seems to exist on desktop browsers (well, firefox anyway) - don't get it on Chrome on android, and I'd suggest it doesn't become someone's bright idea to add it...
Get rid of it!
If no one posts (like in a strike sort of way), I'm sure it'll go away.
WHen you read this thread:
http://road.cc/content/forum/171851-help-whats-niche-bike-worth
the hugely annoying slide-in is the link to this, instant, thread, so the annoying slide-in actually says, "annoying slide-in".
I think it should be replaced with a paperclip, with a pop up speech bubble saying "hello, it looks like you're trying to read the article"
AAAAh stop with the slide-in - the most annoying thing you could've done to the site.. get rid of it now!
Its irritating and counter-productive - get rid asap!
Agreed. Please don't make me read Cycling Weekly and be tempted by clickbait. Pleeeease...
I'd already hit the x on the flyout on this page, then when I submitted the above comment it re-appeared!
This is a horrible feature, all too common on web sites these days - perhaps logged in users could opt to switch it off (or there could be a 'hide these notifications' option in the flyout?). It's also huge, and covers a load of the article I'm trying to read, with links to articles I've often already read.
very very annoying.
Also the recent comments seem to have been relegated to below the recent thread creation again.
Two big steps back, just as things were starting to get a bit better.
Please drop this feature. It's really very annoying.
I'm not sure I can even be bothered to say "please", so:
Oi, Road.cc: TURN IT OFF!
What idiot thought it was useful?
This previously good website's interface keeps getting worse
Wow, yes, this is SUPER annoying. If you'd like to make it worse it could be auto-playing slide-in pop-over video on full volume which only starts after 30 seconds of ads, but then not by much.
Right, it seems that mouse detection of the X icon is off, if you get it dead centre it works ok.
I'm also getting the panel coming in halfway down some stories (the stealth hd 2 camera review is one) instead of at the bottom of the scroll.
