I wont be doing updates today, I'm offski for a long ride with the sun blazing for a change here See you all when i take a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 on today's stage
Basso and Mollema jumped off today
NO NO NO NO NO
24 Mar 08, 20:48 Remy Di Gregorio in for Julien Simon
24 Mar 08, 20:48 Levi Leipheimer in for Luis Leon Sanchez
Chapeau Veuchelen!!
Put him in for Astarloza this morning
Me too. I brought him into the fold thinking he'd be a 5 point drip feed for a stage or so, how he's back out there running rampage!!!:D
Not a good start for me with Larsson & Pauriol withdrawing
Picking riders to go in the break has been one of my major failures in this race. This is the second time I've used my two transfers on riders who I hoped would get in the break, and it's probably the second time I'm going to get 0 points from both of them.
This should do for today
Wiggins
Leipheimer
Tejay van Garderen
Valverde
Spilak
Westra
Moreno
Veuchelen
Szmyd
First Climb
1. Veuchelen
2. Voigt
3. Geschke
4. Cherel (ALM)
5. LL Sanchez
Alejandro Valverde back in main bunch
Nah neither have I, I have a safe team
Wiggins
Valverde
Leipheimer
Cappechi
Westra
Spilak
Meersman
Florencio
Kiserlovski
This could well be a feature of today's stage.
Hoping the pack keeps spliting up!
Haven't risked putting sprinters in......
12:24 - The pack regroups behind the Wiggins group
Km 14 - The pack, including green jersey holder Alejandro Valverde (MOV), caught the second echelon and now trails the Wiggins group by 35 seconds.
