If you can get to a Tv turn it on, it's causing havoc at the mo'
I wish I transferred Micheal Phelps in now!!
Nibali is known as The Shark
If you aren't watching on Eurosport there has been a bit of rain and there's a river running down the final straight.
Sprint 1
1 Andriato
2 Marangoni
3 Gil
Ive got most bases covered for today I think, GC points, mountain points, 2 sprinters, some others....
Cav
Gavazzi
Battaglin
Uran
Paolini
Santambrogio
Visconti
Weening
Phinney
Gap down to 6.40
Mountain 1
1 Pirazzi
2 Bulgac
3 Marangoni
which moves Pirazzi up to 4th in KOM
Pirazzi has been dropped from the lead group. Probably just wanted the mountain points
Goss in for Wiggo
Bouhanni in for Sanchez
Visconti
Nibali
Wurf
Aru
Puccio
Oliveira
Haas
All of the Aussie tickers are touting Goss for this one(although the Italians are saying Pozzato).
Urtasun (EUS) has abandoned
So that's he and Sandy Casar out
There were reports that Majka DNS yesterday but they turned out to be wide of the mark....he's having a good giro losing no time yesterday and sitting 2nd in the youth competition.
Yesterday the escape group were not happy about Sella being there at only 2.39 down. I can't see this group being happy having Pirazzi who is only 3.06 down
At last something to be pleased about - i've got pirazzi albeit in my purist team.
The lead is reported as being 8.10 already
Six off the front
Gil
Pirazzi
Marangoni
Mestre
Bulgac
Andriato
Just the 10 point pen today
Goss (for Wiggins)
Nizzolo (for Dekker)
Santambrogio (For Bouhanni) might regert that one
Viviani
Aru
Betancur
Paolini
Cattaneo
Visconti
Like most looking at tomorrow in mind!
Just realsied i've 7 Italians
gone with
Giacomo Nizzolo
Mark Cavendish
Fabio Aru
Stefano Locatelli
Nacer Bouhanni
Jens Mouris
Elia Viviani
Mauro Santambrogio
Thomas Dekker
I made another 5 changes today to get me back to pretty where I was two days ago, except I've spent 60 points in penalties and missed around 80 points from dropping the wrong riders yesterday...
Degenkolb
Bouhanni
Paolini
Visconti
Felline all in
Santambrogio
Dehaes
Mezgec
Gavazzi kept from yesterday
Feel free to copy my team but after yesterday's disaster you do so at your peril!
Good luck everyone - I'm working away today so won't see any of it unfortunately.
Fingers crossed for...
Cav
Viviani
Ventoso (in for Sammy S)
Degenkolb (in for Ryder)
Bole
Gatto
Wauters
Visconti
Wurf
Leaves me 16 credits, so might bring another sprinter in for Wurf tomorrow.
I already had Cav and Viviani in, so thought I may as well keep them. The two I brought in are hopefully more the type that won't be so bothered by the hill. Always have faith in Cav though, he can get up them hills when he wants to!
Lets hope so mate, 1 - 4 will do nicely today and tomoro
Should be OK Stumps, they seem to be calling it a "false flat" rather than a hill. Most are predicting a sprint, although some of the sprinters might struggle to stay in contention.
Tomorrow looks a nailed-on sprint anyway, so you should be set up nicely for that too.
I have a potentially good sprint team set up, so hoping to move up a bit the next 2 days. Managing transfers over Fri/Sat/Sun will be a nightmare though!
I know i think its the 20 sec bonus at the end, it looks like a massive mistake for me today then as i brought in Cav, Viviani, Bouhanni and Nizzolo
it's mostly flat
agree with stevespro though. haven't gone for the full-on sprinters today. i reckon some of them would make it normally but the big teams seem to want to set a pretty frantic pace up everything bigger than a hump-back bridge this giro
Cannot see this being one for the out and out sprinters...Have a feeling that some big names will not want the sprinters there at the end....
