same.....until stage 3 anyway!!
how do you think sagan will fare on an 8km tt?
He won the opening time trial last year ahead of Spartacus(Cancellara)
I've heard it mentioned a few time but what are the classics?
The high prestige 1 day races such as Paris-Roubaix,Amstel Gold Race,Tour of Flanders,Milan San-Remo,Fleche Wallone,Liege-Bastogne-Liege,Strade Bianchi and so on.
To be honest only stage 2(in its original format) and stage 7 I'd see as proper mountain stages......the others i reckon classics 'tough guys'?
Its worth considering but probably by working back from the team you want in the hills to work out how many transfers you can make and therefore how many TTers you want.
Either that or pick climbers who can TT like Van Garderen or Kelderman.
That's me taking Pozzovovo out then!!
So whats up with this 8km time trial? is it worth worrying about it too much when selecting your team, as the rest of the stages after are all mountain ones.
Better check the news for changes to stage 2. Closed roads means stage has been flattened.
Where did you see that mate ?
It's here ...

Given that Jose Herrada Lopez was 2nd in today's Dauphine stage, doesn't it seem a bit unlikely that he'll be starting the TdS
Jose was never listed....Its Jesus Herrada that's in TdS
Kangert in is now. Everything should be right.
Apart from Vacansoleil, I have 9 riders listed, as today's news about Novikov rules him out. So I don't know which reserve will be riding
Fair enough. I'll shut up and go away now
Is Kangert not racing in this? He's listed in a few places, including the Astana website - but he's not on the list?
They may as well have called it the Tour Du Spartacus...I expect at least 2 stage wins for him.
SUI
What's the three letter code for Switzerland? Can't figure it out...
I'll be double checking the start list in the morning, you might be lucky.....
I wanted to do that too....
