Purchased new kmc chains from major UK supplier. Delivered in clear plastic bag, no other packaging. Could this be fake?

Some online retailers supply (often reduced price) OEM components, i.e. they're intended for bike builds rather than retail. I've had lots of Shimano components from Merlin previously arriving in plain non-display packaging and have had no doubts as to their provenance.
Just my experience & opinion, your mileage may vary, etc etc.
