Royal Visit to local bike shop in Shipley Yorkshire

Royal visit to Shipley Cycle Shop

Princess Anne makes flying visit to custom cycle frame builder and restorer in Shipley last Thursday 25th January.

The  Royal  helicopter landed in nearby Canal road to allow for a very short car journey to the centre of Shipley.

Paul Gibson , the current owner of Ellis Briggs Cycles since 2015 who learnt his trade in the firm,  gave a demonstration of construction techniques. John Briggs , grandson of the founder, was on hand to expound on the founding of the business in the cycle boom of the 1930s.

The Royal visit lasted much longer than the 45 minutes allocated as the Princess asked so many questions , particularly about customers and where they came from.

Paul Gibson holding a damaged carbon frame which the customer requested an exact size and  geometry copy in steel. The new frame partially rebuilt on stand.
A very happy customer with his new bike with Royal approval!

Is this copy-pasted? I can't see any pictures, though people have had difficulty in adding pics to forum posts - it's easier to add them in the comments.
