It's a simple fact of social media (and life) that people are a lot less likely to make comments when they are happy with something, these results show that the amount of whingeing on social media in no way represented the feelings of the general population. I offered a number of anti-LTN agitators on Facebook and Twitter £10 bets that their prediction that LTN-supporting candidates would get hammered would prove wrong, money to a charity of the winner's choice, oddly nobody took the bet...
It shows that sometimes those that shout loudest are simply loud - they don't speak for us.
