Wow, first one amazing reactions and pure luck there was a gap in the lasting bays.
Second one, but really tailgating, just awful driving, undertake, squeeze pass and out of control.
Such amazing reactions they allowed themselves to get far too close to the cyclist. Had there been no gap that rider would be dead or maimed.
Poor planning and anticipation, but once in that position I doubt very many drivers would have come to a stop without hitting either the cyclist or the parked cars. (and we know most would have chosen the soft cyclist over the very solid parked car)
True.
What on earth happened to the cyclist in the first video?! It didn't look wet, nor like they were trying to brake or turn hard. Looking closely, it looks like she was signalling a right turn and her foot came off the right pedal. Maybe panicked by the car following so closely?
One of the comments mentioned that if you look closely you can see the chain slipping off (I didn't check it myself though).
I think it's just her foot slipping off the pedals. But could be a snapped chain. I once went over the bars in a very similar way when my chain snapped as I was giving it the beans out of the saddle. Thankfully it was a steep hill, so I was going slowly and there was a soft grassy verge to break my fall.
Have to admit to schadenfreude on the second one !
Maybe the cyclist had a version of that close pass detector mounted on the bars - but the one that instantly disables the offending vehicle with an electromagnetic pulse!
Although from the comments.

I would have said that but why is a cyclist illegally riding on a dual carrigeway? That video was two for the price of one!
He tries to recover from it badly then has an issue with someone pointing out crap infra means cyclists might not always have a choice.
