Brooks to launch Cambium C15 racing saddle

And they’ll be giving away the first 100 free of charge

Brooks are releasing a new Cambium C15 saddle, the first racing Cambium that they’ve made, and they’ll be giving away the first 100 numbered editions free of charge.

We’ve told you about the existing Brooks Cambium C17 saddle lots in the past, and reviewed it last month. Instead of a traditional leather, Brooks use a combination of vulcanised natural rubber, cotton canvas and structural textile for the top. Our man John found it extremely comfortable.

The new C15 is 283mm long and 140mm wide. The C17, for comparison, is the same length but considerably wider at 162mm.

The C15 will be sold initially as a limited run of 1000 slate-coloured saddles.

When Brooks launched the Cambium C17 they gave out 100 free of charge for testing and asked for feedback. This time around they’re going to give away the first 100 numbered C15s free.

To be in with a chance of getting one you need to go to Brooks’ website and enter your email address

The C15 Limited Edition is due to be released on 15 June while the standard versions will be in shops from October.

We don’t have prices on either the C15 Limited Edition or the standard C15 yet although, as an indication, the Cambium C17 is currently £105.

Do we have a weight for this yet? The C17 was a bit of a goliath, and I'm assuming this being a 'racing' version it's a more sensible weight?

Read the Brooks website, somewhere they do say they are launching a cutout C17, if that is of any use.

Brooks is owned by Italy's Selle Royal, also parent company of Fizik and Crank Brothers.
