Video: Halfords online ops get a little help from Mongoose riders

Chris Akrigg and pals zoom round warehouse picking up goods and pulling off some tricks

It looks like it’s going to be a record-breaking online Christmas for retailers and all those orders need to be fulfilled somehow to ensure they’re under the tree ahead of the big day. Not a problem for Halfords –just employ the services of four top riders to whizz around the warehouse picking stock, while pulling some stunts at the same time.

The four riders featured in this video are all sponsored by Mongoose Bikes, a brand of course stocked by Halfords – that man Chris Akrigg, plus Greg Illingworth, Tom Isted and Paul Ryan. There’s also a bonus behind-the-scenes video below.

Halfords just opened their first London "Cycle Republic" store this morning next to Euston Tower off Tottenham Court Road.

Very interesting to see the market's reception to their new venture, and how it impacts Evans and Cycle Surgery, considering the former retail director of Evans is behind the Cycle Republic roll-out 3
