Big names take to stage at Bike Expo

Major bike brands set for next week's event in Manchester too...

Chris Boardman, David Millar, Alex Dowsett, Dani King and Rebecca Romero will be taking to the stage at next week’s Bike Expo in Manchester to answer questions about their cycling achievements. The main stage will be hosted by three-time Olympic medallist and double World Champion Rob Hayles.

Bike brands exhibiting include Basso, Rose, Islabikes, Roux and Specialized. Parts and accessories brands like Schwalbe, RaceWare, Essax and 4iiii will also be there, and Primal, Pro Vision, Velotec, Ashmei will bring their clothing ranges.

Boardman Bikes will be showcasing its full Elite Series range which includes the all new SLS/Disc models, the AiR, AiRTT and SLS women’s bikes as well as the TTE time trial and triathlon models.

Rose Bikes will have the Xeon CW 8800, Xeon CDX 4400 at the show, and Dillglove will offer a test service on Selle SMP saddles.

Formerly known as the Bike & Triathlon Show, Bike Expo promises a range of new features including:

• The Premium Road Test Track. Bike Swanky is bringing a selection of bikes and you’ll be able to test any of them on a purpose built 100m test track.

• The Kids’ Test Track. This is sponsored by Islabikes and features the brand’s full range of premium children’s bikes.

• The Electric Bike Test Track. Here you can try the latest E-bike technology from RooDog, Juicy Bike, FWG and Oxygen Bikes.

Bike Expo runs 20-22 March at Manchester’s EventCity alongside Swim Expo, Run Expo and Triathlon Expo (one ticket is valid for all four). Advance tickets are available now for £12 from www.bikeexpo.co.uk.
