SiS will give away 300,000 free GO Isotonic Energy Gels if Sir Bradley Wiggins breaks The Hour tomorrow.

Science in Sport (SiS), Team Wiggins’s nutrition supplier, will give away up to 300,000 free SiS GO Isotonic Energy Gels if Sir Bradley Wiggins breaks The Hour record on Sunday 7th June 2015.

Up to 25,000 people can register at Power The Hour and if the record is broken on Sunday, all entrants will receive a code that entitles them to 12x SiS GO Isotonic Energy Gels, worth £16.80, on their next order at SiS.

Science in Sport Marketing Director, Ashley Read, said: “The Hour is an important moment in cycling’s history and we want all cycling fans to get behind Brad and support him on this monumental day. We’d like to say thanks for this support and offer free SiS gels to entrants, as used by Team Wiggins.”

How the promotion works:

1. Register on www.powerthehour.com - up to 25,000 entrants permitted, one per email address

2. If Sir Bradley Wiggins breaks The Hour record on Sunday 7th June 2015, registrants will receive a code which entitles them to 12x free SiS GO Isotonic Energy gels worth £16.80.

3. Entrants can use the code on any order of any value on
www.scienceinsport.com by July 31 2015. Minimum order value for free delivery applies.

Picked up 2 packs of their caffeine gels for £10 to get the free postage, so 26 gels for a tenner. Not bad.

Used 4 email addresses, so 48 gels for £15.96 even better! 3

Just got my code- the e-mail also says they've reduced the minimum spend for free delivery down to £10 as well so may even buy a few bits to make it more worth my while (their tactic worked)

Got my email, and you don't have to buy a bottle as well, just £3.99 for delivery, result!
Looks like I wont have 10 extra bottles after all! 3

I don't dislike Wiggy, but I'm hoping the record stays with Dowsett.

No need to be disingenuous, spit it out.

What? The gels? Probably...if I entered the "free" competition.

You'll have to shell out at least £7.98. That's the cheapest water bottle plus delivery to get your "free" gels 24

@Gkam84. What's your point? They're still free.

It's a buy-one-get-one-free-website-mailorder-provide-all-your-details sort of deal. No such thing as a free (gel lunch)

I take it you have to buy from SIS to get you free gels or have I misread ? Not really free if you have to spend money to get them

I think it was reported on here, but it may have been elsewhere, that a beard makes no difference apparently. I really don't understand the science, though.

He must be sceptical of the science, because it's gone!

He was made to shave the beard in case he hid energy gels in it...

Is he going to get rid of the fur on his chin, for the hour record attempt? That chin must be at least one leg's worth? I assume he's still shaving his legs?

It's energy gel, not shaving gel. Although he seems to have got some in his hair.
