Lezyne releases Strip Drive lights

New LEDs are designed to fit any shape of handlebar or seatpost

Lezyne has introduced a new range of Strip Drive front and rear lights that can fit any shape of handlebar or seatpost, including aero options.

There are two rear lights in the Strip Drive range along with a front light, each containing five LEDs.

The higher level rear light is the Strip Drive Pro. It’s co-moulded meaning that the lens and the body are an integrated whole so that water can’t get inside. The control button is shielded away underneath the rubber outer so that rain can’t get in there either.

This £39.99 light has nine different modes: six flashing and 3 constant. Lezyne claims an output of 100 lumens for the daytime flash mode.

You recharge the battery by removing a labyrinthian rubber cover at the bottom to expose an integrated USB stick that goes directly into a port.

The light attaches to your seatpost or part of the frame with a stretchy rubber strap. The back section of the light is very flexible so it’ll conform to different shapes. We’ve got it mounted onto a Trek Madone 9 Series’ aero seatpost in this picture.

The Strip Drive (without the Pro) rear light is a tenner cheaper at £29.99. It also has nine modes but the daytime flash mode is a more modest 25 lumens.

The Strip Drive front light is also £29.99. Lezyne claims 120 lumens in the daytime flash mode. An indicator tells you when it’s time to recharge the battery.

Again, this light has a flexy rubber back section. We fitted it neatly and securely to this aero handlebar from Bontrager. The rubber strap won’t mark your bike.

The new lights are available as units and in packages with other models from the Lezyne range from www.upgradebikes.co.uk.

Picked up one from Rutland cycles last week (delivered today) and they was available from other sites.  I'm hoping it'll fit round a TT post when that comes but I see Moon are doing lights they claim will, may use the Leyzne on my commuter and order a Moon if it won't fit 7

3 constant modes?
Isn't one constantly on just like any other constantly on mode?

Wow. I have 2 Super Drives, 1 Macro Drive and one little light at the back.
I have only suffered one issue (with one of the Super Drives), which may or may not have been my fault (difficult to tell) - but Lezyne was happy to send replacement, so I am able to report good service.

Looks like it'll have issues fitting to a 3T Ergonova set of bars.

6 flashing modes is overkill and likely a nuisance to go through each one to get back to the 3 non-flash modes.

Seconded! Or should that be sixthed, or eighteenthed or... All you really need at the back is constant and flashing.

plus eco constant and eco flashing and their pulse mode which slowly ramps the brightness up and down..

I have their microdrives both front and rear...

I guess if you use that front light you give up your ability to ride with hands on the tops, since it takes up all the space where your hands would be...

Front one looks nice, I always think in the main front lines spoil the lines of the bike.

I love the look of this stuff but I've never had a light off them that didn't need to go through warranty or replacement. So far I've had issues with

2 x micro drive rears
1 x macro drive front
2 x femto rears
2 x KTV (front and back)

Each occasion it has been a loss of ability to charge them. Not great.

I love lezyne kit, excellent and sturdy, I currently have the zecto pro up front and a femto rear, I'll replace the femto with the strip drive rear, and have the femto as back up or maybe attached somewhere else.
Again well done lezyne
