Strathclyde Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old boy out riding his bike was seriously injuredafter being struck by a bus.
The accident happened at around 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon on the A760 Kilbirnie Road near the RSPB’s Lochwinnoch Bird Sanctuary.
The youngster, who has not been named, was taken to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital and subsequently transferred to Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital, according to STV News, which added that a female passenger on the bus had also been treated for minor injuries.
Any witnesses with information about the incident are urged to contact Strathclyde Police on 01389 822042.
