Video interview: watch 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre on road.cc now!

We've just been to the Cervelo Test Team team launch to film interviews with star riders Carlos Sastre, Thor Hushovd, and British Olympic medallist Emma Pooley, plus Cervelo co-founder Gerard Vroomen – the man behind the bikes. 

Today we talk to Carlos Sastre, and he tells us about the reasons for his move from CSC, what he thinks of his new bike, and how his new team will be able to support both himself and Thor Hushovd as they race for the yellow and green jerseys respectively at this year's Tour. What was clear from our time with Carlos and his team is that he is massively respected by his team mates. He's the consummate pro – ours was the last interview of the day and he found time to do it twice, when our camera battery packed up at the start of our first attempt… Thanks Carlos!

So sorry it's a bit dark – we shot this in the only quiet place we could find at eight o'clock at night in a hotel full of Germans, bike journos, pro cyclists and piped Phil Collins – outside on the hotel verandah.
