when free food is being handed out. Although I did return to the fish and chips and mushy peas line a couple of times, followed by steamed sponge pudding and custard and then stilton and biscuits. Maybe my food radar was a little dulled by that point!
Unexpectedly chalked off another life first at CORE… never had mushy peas before, green aren't they? Deelicious too!
I assume, as I didn't notice the Nestle performance food stall...
They probably secretly own all those sports nutrition brands… not really.
No, a lot of the distrubtors know that bike types like sweeties and they have bowls of them to give out - my kids like 'em even more though
and a fudge bar. forgot about that. they were to keep me going on the long journey home, though to be honest i'd scoffed them before i even got near oxford... that's why they call me captain willpower.
Was some Nik Wash samples, oh, and of course lots of bits of Torq bar, Clif bar, etc etc.
I also liked the look of that Fizik Antares saddle, I even liked the bright orange of the test ones, that wouldn't stop me blagging one if that is the intention!
Which I didn't get to eat…
I liked the strange hairy Brooks saddle on the Brooks/Fizik stand and the fact that that prototype Quintana was actually made of wood!
Those Lezyne pumps were a work of art, I already have a request in for a track pump and a road drive pump!
yeah, 'twas mighty cool. pity you can't get one unless you're a top Brooks dealer... they wouldn't give us one. I did get a Fi:z'ik (or whatever) spirit level though, not much use for me as i have my saddle pointing slightly down. anyone want it? it's the perfect cyclist's DIY accessory...
