I thought his prime objective with team Wiggins this season was to give the young guns the benefit of his experience and not necessarily to compete for himself. He's, in effect, been a Super Domestique and road Captain for his own team. He retires after Ghent so it's up to them from then on. I don't know if he'll then take on a 'Directeur Sportif' type of role. Any ideas?
Hopefully he'll last longer than the first hill as he did in Tour of Yorkshire this year.
Is Wiggins going to actually give this a go or just ride at back like he's done last few times?
He's always used the excuse that he didn't want to jeopardise his chances training for theOlympics so hopefully he will now.
