Final call - last few places available for our rideout this Friday with Cannondale, dhb and Technogym

Check out the latest bling from Cannondale and get the lowdown on the newest offerings from dhb and Technogym before heading out into Bath and the surrounding countryside for a ride with team road.cc. Did we mention there will be beer?

This Friday (20th) we're organising a club ride from our Bath based office, an afternoon out in the local lanes with the road.cc staff leading the way. There are only a few places left though so don't hang about getting registered. This is no ordinary club run mind, we've got Cannondale UK popping by the office with a selection of their latest bikes for you to drool over and ride, plus the guys from Technogym will be on hand to show you their latest smart trainer.

The team behind dhb will be riding with us to answer any questions you may have about the latest range of clothing to be released. They'll also be getting the beers and pizzas in too, plus they are bringing prizes.

Cannondale are bringing a small selection of their latest fleet including the Synapse Hi-mod Disc with Sram eTap and this Supersix Evo wearing Dura-Ace Di2 and hydraulic disc brakes, so it's worth getting your name down and spending the afternoon with us.

The bikes on offer are:

To have the chance of riding one will be on a first come, first served basis; all you'll need to bring with you is some ID, a passport or driving licence, and a credit card.

Last week we unboxed the new MyCycling Smart Trainer (you can see the video here) and the team from Technogym will be on hand before the ride to let you take a look and answer any questions you may have about it.

It might be worth a little warm up too before you tackle the first climb out of Bath.

The Ride

We have two rides on offer, one fastish (60km) and the other (45km) where we'll stop now and then to enjoy the views. We're a very friendly club and the usual rules apply, no one gets left behind and we'll ride at the speed of the slowest rider.

Don't worry, we'll be back before you need to put your lights on but it might pay to bring a set just to be on the safe side.

And there'll be a schwagaway too.

The road.cc staff and editors will be on hand ready to leave at 12 noon but we'll have coffee and refreshments from 11am, and there will be pizza and beers when you return!

Arrive from 11am, briefing 11.45am, depart 12 noon.

When, where etc:

Friday 20th October
Green Park Station, Bath, BA1 1JB
Cost - absolutely free!!!

Register now to reserve your place here and we'll see you there.

Since writing his first bike review for road.cc back in early 2009 senior product reviewer Stu has tested more than a thousand pieces of kit, and hundreds of bikes.

With an HND in mechanical engineering and previous roles as a CNC programmer/machinist, draughtsman and development engineer (working in new product design) Stu understands what it takes to bring a product to market. A mix of that knowledge combined with his love of road and gravel cycling puts him in the ideal position to put the latest kit through its paces.

He first made the switch to road cycling in 1999, primarily for fitness, but it didn’t take long for his competitive side to take over which led to around ten years as a time triallist and some pretty decent results. These days though riding is more about escapism, keeping the weight off and just enjoying the fact that he gets to ride the latest technology as part of his day job.
