That Dublin bus driver was a bit incompetent, eh?   I think bus drivers should be trained to look ahead and see if anyone is waiting at a stop, so they don't do stupid and dangerous last-minute  manoeuvres like that one!  Oh, wait...

Meaningless statistic of the day:

"Research commissioned by Addison Lee following incidents involving its drivers and cycle couriers found that 65 per cent of cyclists have been involved in a car-dooring incident or know someone who has."

Did they also reveal that 100% of the population is female? Or know somebody who is female?

25mph on the pavement?  Pathetic! 

At the public meeting to consider the chicanes put in by the local authority on the Bristol-Bath cycle path, after they'd put them in, one person claimed that the cyclists were doing 60mph.  It did get quite a big laugh.

*sigh.. 

What a relief with some straight talk. There is no smoke without a fire. These things should be settled quickly with no options for appeal and not with this stupid system where things are decided in court rooms.

Team Sky may be partially correct about Hinault. His call for a boycott probably isn't based on a full knowledge of every detail of the Froome case. But then I suspect they'd respond in the same way to anyone who hasn't read all 1500 pages of "evidence" which they've submitted to delay and obfuscate the case.

I think The Badger is taking a leaf out of the 1966 Monte Carlo rally rule book and planning to disqualify everyone until he gets to the token Frenchman, who will then be crowned the victor. He was one of the all-time greats of cycling, but he was always a proper tool.

It's so sad when one of your heros turns out to be a prick.

Old Bernard really is being a bit of a prick. I'm not condoning or defending Froome and Team Sky's alleged misdemeanours, but the fact is that all this shouldn't even be in the public realm at this stage. If the adverse finding hadn't been 'leaked' then this would all be happening behind closed doors where Froome would (or at least should) be getting a fair hearing, and like other riders should be free to race until convicted/banned/acquitted or whatever the outcome may be. As already said above, if anyone should be feeling the wrath of Bernie, it should be the UCI for being lax with their data security in the first place, apparently relying on a rather sub-standard and questionable test for Salbutamol and subsequently handing the whole situation rather poorly.

Hinault, yawn, such 1980s mentality. 

Hinault can see his position as one of the elite 5 time winners being diluted so he is trying to undermine Froome who is perfectly entitled to be riding. It is the UCI that he should be having a go at, not someone racing who is perfectly entitled to be doing so. Nice comment by Christopher.
