MyCyclingWeekend Fuelled by Soreen - We Have a Winner

Could that have been the last dry weekend for a while?

We've had a brilliant weekend on the bike, and it seems that you guys have too!

It's been another hot weekend, perfect weather for getting out on the bike and getting a great photo for #MyCyclingWeekend!

Before we get to this week's winner, let's take a look at some of your entries. This week's header shot was taken by Matt who clocked up 100km on Sunday.

We'll kick off with a great shot from the cobbles. These roads make a brilliant day out, but maybe pick a comfy bike!

Bob started climbing to Barbury Castle. We've not yet seen a photo from the top, so he may still be climbing...

Things to see in Springfield...

Throwing it back to a past cycling holiday can be rather motivational.

Sunny Sunday and Karolis has challenge ahead: 101 miles (162km)! First long distance cycling challenge: RIDE IT Essex Sportive . . . The ride takes you on a tour around the relatively flat, fast and flowing Essex country lanes and the chance to clock up a century ride for those that want to get some summer miles in . . . . . #cyclinglifestyle #cyclingevent #rideit @evans_cycles #keepfit #inspireothers #livethelifeyouwant #cyclist #roadbikelife #specialized #viner #vinerbikes #cyclingpics #challengeyourself #garmin #strava #outdoorcycling #mycyclingweekend #stravaproveit #rideitessex #keephealthy #moveyourbody #endurance #legsworkout #functionalmovent #livetoride #stravacycling #outsideisfree #procycling #garmincycling #fitlondoners

The Evans Ride It Sportive looked like a great day out.

A massive thank you to everyone that has donated so far, not long to RideLondon now, training nearly finished (not exactly to plan ). Including the manual pledges I’ve had I’m not far off my target of a grand, that tbh I never dreamed I would hit, so any donation, whatever size for this brilliant cause would be appreciated. https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=GrahamThompson8&pageUrl=1 #cyclist #cyclinglife #cycle #fromwhereiride #outsideisfree #chaingangofficial #chaingang #followme #fitness #sport #road #instafit #bikes #instabike #roadslikethese #cyclepics #rideyourbike #instacycling #cycleshots #bikestagram #ridelots #cyclestyle #cyclingclub101 #lifebehindbars #tapintopower #mycyclingweekend

Another fine day of riding in Whistler!

Simon took in the cool mountain air and breath taking views in Whistler, Canada!

Dom found some very quiet Cotswold lanes.

It's been a whole week since this awesome little mini tour with @tamzindewar @jonnyruffell and @lsbckwll but I just had too many photos to choose between so here's a little summary! . Friday Evening: set off up to White Horse bank to camp in a "semi-wild" campsite that, glancing at the map, I'd judged to be "about 1 mile" away from the top of the climb. About 6 miles with over a mile of sketchy gravel farm track later and we arrived at High Paradise farm. It turned out to be this awesome luxury tea room with a field out front for camping but the tea room and maisonette library/games room were left open at night for campers to hang out. In the morning we were also greeted by 4 very cuddly dogs. A super trusting, lovely, welcoming place Id recommend to anyone! . Saturday: Said goodbye to Lisa as we set her off to descend Boltby bank on her way to catch a train in Thirsk for work. The rest of us continued up through the Moors to my favourite picnic spot in Osmotherley. We then descended back through the Moors towards the Howardian hills where Jonny peeled off too. At this point, me and Tamzin decided it was just too hot to continue to our planned stop in Dalby and decided to camp at a fishing lake close to Malton instead for an evening of attempting Yoga and eating so much food. . Sunday: Since we camped so close to York, I decided to make this day a zig zaggy tour of all my favourite local cycling roads. Began the day with a massive breakfast in Malton that we'd been dreaming about all night before tackling the beatiful, gentle climb out of Birdsall. This was followed by the awesome descent into Thixendale and climb out to the top of Painsthorpe for another more technical descent. The zig zag took shape with my favourite rolling road through Leppington to Leavening and finished with a stop in Kirkham for ice cream. This is where we discovered the river there is perfect for swimming and in the heat, we couldn't resist a dip! . Stay tuned for more river adventures following this game changing discovery...

Our winner this week Is Hannah. She used the long days and fabulous weather to go bikepacking! Her trip included puppies, ice cream and large breakfasts. Sounds marvelous!

We'll be back next weekend for (hopefully) another brilliant #MyCyclingWeekend in the sunshine!
