Kapz offer full-custom headset top caps

Pimp your ride with your own design

If you fancy adding a personal touch to your bike, how about a custom headset top cap from new UK brand Kapz?

We have alwaysapleasure on the road.cc forum to thank for this tip off. We’d never heard of Kapz before he pointed us in the right direction, although the brand only launched at the end of October so perhaps it’s understandable.

Kapz is the creation of Khush Jabble, based in Glastonbury, Somerset, and all the caps are designed and made in the UK. They’re 1 1/8in and aluminium, and you can go for a stock design or a custom one. If you'd like a custom option, you can choose between laser etched, engraved, and a full colour cap.

This one is from the Psychedelic range and it’s priced at £24.95. That’s multi-coloured anodizing on there. Each one is completed by hand and Kapz promise that the design will never be repeated. You get a bolt along with the cap, and you can choose the bolt colour. If you don't want to spend quite that much, you can go for a standard laser-etched design at £14.95.

If you want to go down the custom route, here’s the sort of laser-etched cap you could get. You can go for text only, or text and either a single icon or two icons. All of these are £14.95, including the bolt.

Or you could go for a full custom design at £19.95.

“If you can draw it, we can produce it – simple,” says Khush.

An engraved headset cap like this one (above) is a little more expensive at £24.95 but, again, you can have whatever message or design you like.

A full colour headset cap is the same price, £24.95. So, you could have a Union Jack or King of the Mountains polka dots or… well, anything you like.

Oh, and a Wiggo-style RAF/mod roundel design will be available in the January. Kapz will also be offering customised headset spacers and boltless caps at the same time.

Cool, huh? We have to get some road.cc argyle ones sorted. Mosey on over to the Kapz website and take a look.

Doesn't seem overpriced for a bit of custom blingery. Am thinking I'll go for a custom design to match my new saddle with swifts on from BusyMan... Sweet!

Does anyone else think that's a ridiculous price?

In a article yesterday about cheap upgrades or something there was a different company doing the same thing for less than half the price.

I agree. i would love to have bought british but i have just ordered 4 for mine and my sons bikes for under £23 posted 1st class from the states. These would have cost me £60 plus postage from these guys!

Hi guys and thanks for adding us to road.cc - with regards to the 1" Headsets, we dont do them (yet) as most modern bikes have 1 1/8" BUT dont despair, we will do soon.

Alternatively we could etch or engrave your current 1" Headset Cap as an option 1

These are so cool!
Time like these I wished I had a 1 1/8" headset rather than a 1"!

Don't blame us, blame alwaysapleasure.

I'm thinking one for every day of the week and a special one for bank holidays/state funerals etc.

Guys, now you have put me in a right spin, my trike has a headset, so I can have a custom cap and I've been trying to work out what I would put on it from kustomcaps.

Then you throw this into the mix......

Not bad, I asked the public of twitter and got one reply.

WARNING, this may offend some, but I found it amusing.

What about a blue disabled badge..... 4 4 4 4
