Imaginate Episode 1Danny MacAskill back in new Imaginate series from Red Bull (+ link to 15-minute video)
Red Bull has today launched the first episode of Imaginate, a series of films following street trials ace Danny MacAskill as he prepares for "his most ambitious project yet," in which he aims to be "pushing his riding to the highest level yet."
As the first 15-minute episode shows, he first has to overcome struggles with back and knee injuries, part of the untold back story behind those videos that propelled him to fame.
In the episode, MacAskill heads to Newport Beach, California, to visit a sports spinal injury specialist for treatment on those injuries, where he also hooks up one of his own heroes, trials star Hans Rey - who seems to have designed his front garden with stunts in mind.
Also over in California are the Atherton family, with Rachel Atherton observing: "I think he's learning that if you ride hard, you've got to get injured, it's part of the job."
