Socks are socks unless you're talking cycling-specific socks. These Assos équipeSock_evo7s are made from a fabric that is thin and very breathable and manages sweat really well, resulting in cooler and drier feet compared with wearing standard cotton socks. Put simply, they're more comfortable than plain old socks.
They're designed for warm weather riding and that means the material is lightweight with a mesh construction. This helps them to keep your feet cool and prevents overheating on longer rides. They really are more comfortable when combined with cycling shoes.

The fit is excellent, neither too tight nor too loose, and the length is just right, not too short but not as long as some of the more, shall we say, 'fashionable' socks doing the rounds at the moment. Some socks are sold in various lengths which is a nice option, but that's not on offer here, so you're stuck with the default length.
They're constructed with flat-bonded seams which boosts comfort, and durability has been excellent. They've had a lot of use over the past few months and been through countless washes and still look good as new.

If you're the type of person who finds wearing the same colour socks a bit boring, Assos provides colour options so you can have one sock a different colour to the other, if that's your sort of thing... The logos are also printed on opposite sides. Symmetry is so boring.
Cycling-specific socks can be expensive additions to any cyclist's wardrobe, but here Assos makes a decent argument for spending a bit of money on them, with excellent performance and durability.
Verdict
Durable, temperature-regulating socks

Normally you expect the driver to assault the cyclist during the initial road rage encounter, not this one, assaulted him the next day....
That might take out a few cows too, thus reducing the impact of the real scourge on public safety.
Perhaps you're running them at lower pressures / with extra weight? I've found they feel sketchy at least when cornering and I've had a few offs...
True ... but left to itself that notion tends to go the same way as instructing pedestrians, cyclists and SUV drivers to "share the road"!...
To be fair to them, it looks like a choice between that or a lot of sunken surfaces and ironworks further out.
...mostly among sports administrators, media, and cycling fans.

At what point will politicians realise that no amount of effort can really protect vulnerable users on roads and that to keep people safe automatic...
You need to "guess" the corresponding post code as well. A bit of internet sleuthing should give you options.
Doubtless, which is why I avoid the eastern parts of Kingswood.
