Starting and finishing in Wrexham, the Wiggle Etape Cymru features some truly testing terrain, making it into one of the most challenging events on the sportive calendar. Voted the UK’s best sportive in 2012 by RoadCyclingUK, the 92 mile route is once again taking place on closed roads, offering participants an unparalleled experience of riding in this spectacular area with full use of the course
Cyclists will pass through quaint Denbighshire and Wrexham villages such as Llangollen, Carrog, and Minera, taking in the spectacular views of the Clwydian range (an area of outstanding beauty), while tackling lung busting climbs such as Panorama, The Shelf, World’s End and the infamous Horseshoe Pass.
Described by event ambassador and Olympic Gold medallist Geraint Thomas as “gruelling” but “fantastic”, the 2013 edition is set to be even bigger and better.
