Mmm I was looking at the possibility of the 5.2 but my LBS is doing a bloody amazing deal on the 4.7 I figured it's much of a muchness (despite slightly lower grade of carbon) - so going for the value & saving a few bob. The guy who runs the shop races with us and he's on a project one and reckons there's not a vast amount of difference between the 4's all the way up to the 6's nowdays, said it'll certainly make a difference on the climbs which is what I'm after really.
They've not got my size in stock unfortunately so it'll be a case of try once it's ordered, hopefully that's not an issue for them
Cervelo is a brand I always seem to forget about but always envy when I see one out and about! I'm not sure who stocks them over here (Isle of Man) though
I rather fancy one of their TT bikes too!
Thanks for the post that's mega handy!
Cheers all
I have a 2013 4.5, and while I don't race, I can confirm that it feels stiff when pushing on.
That said, the Cervelo R3 105 build is around the same price (as is the S2, actually) and current 105 is probably quite different to the 4-yr old stuff.
If it helps, here my write-up of all the bikes I tried around that price range:

I have a 2009 5.2. It's stiff and wonderfully fast. But I can only recommend that you try before you buy.
