Yay - another stage win and over 200 points too - go me
Does anyone know what happened to yesterday's scores?
I think the Spanish are doing them.
I wrote the VPV organizers early this morning and requested an official inquiry into the matter from them. I am pleased to report I received a response fairly quickly from them with an apology to any race fan that has been affected and a reassurance they were not responsible for the lack of scores yesterday.
They reassured me they had done their part by posting their official race results here (http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/clasificaciones-ciclistas-vuelta-...).
They ask that we please enjoy today's time trial courtesy of http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/index.php, and, should any of our group of users be present at the race, that they would gladly acknowledge each of us by way of a short trip to the podium, after the race winners are presented, of course, where each of us would get the opportunity to stand on the podium, have our pictures taken, and get a few hugs and kisses from the podium girls, We would, of course, be welcome at the post-race celebration at the Museo del Whisky pub(http://www.museodelwhisky.com/es/index.php) after the race.
They reassured us we were very much a part of their family as cycling aficonados and requested we kindly give them an opportunity to resolve the situation after they have concluded their current obligations with regards to conducting today's race coverage, the closing ceremony, the post-race meetings with sponsors and the post-race debriefs with staff and volunteers.
In the meantime, they encouraged us to follow their twitter feed at @deportesdv and encouraged us to participate in their contest for giving away 15 VPV race jerseys including jerseys like Amets Txurruka's, Pello Bilbao's and the race classification leaders(http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/2015/noticias/maillot-amets-txurr..., http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/2015/noticias/maillot-pello-bilba... and http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/2015/noticias/maillots-vuelta-pai...), with the understanding that the jerseys will only be handed out in person if they are won. ( At least that part is true! Check out the @deportesdv twitter feed yesterday and today).
I, for one, am satisfied.

I felt a little sad this weekend, maybe a little befuddled and even a little lonely... I was a little distressed that no one explained why the stage 5 and stage 6 scores were done practically simultaneously, I missed seeing the stage 5 scores and the overall scores after stage 5 before the competition ended... I miss the usual communication that goes out when scores have come in late or when there are issues preventing the updating from being done... I even have to admit that although G annoys the hell out of me, I would have preferred some nasty 'pissing and moaning' comment from him or even a 'F**K OFF, enrique!' rather than the dreadful silence about the situation... I don't know... I need a hug or something... I felt abandoned and lonely... and sad... What happened?... Where was Ghed? Where was Dave? Where was G, , might I ask? I hope it wasn't some kind of an emergency and there were no fatalaties or bodily harm, but, what happened?...
Are the scores coming soon? Please
?...
I'm not a betting man but Dumoulin is 66/1 for the TT win tomorrow with Sportingbet. It's as if the gambling houses have a more important event on Saturday.
In perspective - famed time triallist Henao is 15/1.
Have you seen the course?
Yes, that's why I thought he'd do so well.
Please tell me you did put something on that?
I did!
No - I tried to set up an account with Sportingbet but couldn't add money as my card company flagged it as a fraudulent transaction, as I don't bet. I took this as an omen.
Two friends of mine have won £400 in total though
Just when ya think i could finally get a full house my Trek rider(Mollema) screws me over
7,8,10,13,19 + Txurruka. Brought in Mollema for Pinot bah.
Bugger me that was hard just watching never mind trying to cycle it. Chapeau to them all
6,7,8,11,13,14,15 and Choo Choo, should be ok tbh, unless anyone plumped for any of the top 5 (Im sure some will but my score in the end should be solid with GC points)
No doubt you'll be wanting to swap Amets (or Carthy) for someone in the UCI game now you know he's scoring mountain points TER...perhaps both for Vangenechten?
