Hmmm... The Giro scores 5 positions for the Intermediate sprints..
1 Philippe Gilbert (Bel) BMC Racing Team 10 pts
2 Simon Clarke (Aus) Orica GreenEdge 6
3 Silvan Dillier (Swi) BMC Racing Team 3
4 Manuele Mori (Ita) Lampre-Merida 2
5 Luca Chirico (Ita) Bardiani CSF 1
Maybe next year we can reflect that in the game and score them like KOM's...
George Bennett has been withdrawn by LottoNL-Jumbo

just updated. nairo's out, dayer's in. a few other changes too
If noone has done an update i will do it when i get home from work tonight
Please be aware that Nairo Quintana is NOT RIDING the Giro. So anyone who's got him in your purist you've been for warned
I know there is more than likely gonna be an update before the start.........
Is anyone else thinking that you might need to “sacrifice” stages 4 and 5 – and not make any (very few) transfers and save them for later.
Seems a bit extravagant switching all the sprinters out just to pile them all back in again for stages 6 and 7
Tactics, Tactics!
Or you could do what I did for Romandie, and bring in all the climbers after stage 1, and wait till stage 6 to use them, doh!
Is anyone else getting an error message when looking at their giro league?
i keep getting 'there was an error running this request' when looking at my league?
M
Sergio isn't riding the Giro
Are we sure the Sky startlist includes Sebastian Henao Gomez and not Sergio Luis Henao?
First draft done for me, standard needs a bit more work, and I dare say some of the start lists will change!
But excited for first grand tour of the year, especially with new transfer system, should be interesting!
Version 2 done! Will I have time for a version 3 tonight?
Sky have just announced their Giro squad on Twitter.
Note that the information on scoring for stage 1, the team TT, presumably should have TTT scoring (20, 18,...2) added.
I think Nairo Quintana is showing as active in the start list for the game, but it should probably be Dayer Quintana in the game.
I may be misremembering, but I think there were 46 transfers (three rest days) last year, plus penalty transfers. Forty-five doesn't seem like very many.
Purist and Italian teams picked
Are there any prizes this year...like for the lanterne rouge in my case?
Are there any prizes this year...like for the lanterne rouge in my case?
Think ive got my purist team down
Too exciting for words
When's this race going live? I can't wait to start on my team selection
later tonight
The only thing I hope for is either an expanded budget, last year was the bomb!, or a reviewed rider evaluation so we don't have 'bottlenecks' during the mountains where people choose very similar teams 'cause you don't want to leave out the 'Big Boys' - Porte, Contador, Uran, Pozzovivo... But I'm happy... It's a beautiful race!
I think it will be about 50. You would have got 44 the old way, so it cant be any less than that surely?
Also no possibilities for penalties and now having got used to playing with 8 riders we'll get 9
The Skoda game was 50 for the tour last year which is about right
Oooh i have to agree with Enrique on this one, i love the Giro and would rather go and watch this race more than any other.
As for transfers it has got to be around 40 to make it worthwhile playing but not so easy that you can just swap about without worrying.
Maybe a respectable budget?
A three week tour may need some extra transfers too as the drop out rate of riders is quite high.
Anyone know when it will be open?
