Cannondale Synapse Tiagra Disc vs Giant TCR Advanced 3

Hello,

I am officially looking for a winter bike.

I had narrowed it down to the Cannondale Synapse however the Giant TCR advanced 3 came up for sale at the same price.

I have trawled through reviews and both bikes seem to be well received.

The TCR seems to be more race orientated with the Synapse more relaxed.

I will be racing next year and had planned on getting a winter bike that allowed me to churn out long winter rides with some shorter tougher stuff midweek

Is choosing the Synapse purely for disc brakes (even though the reviews of the ones on the Synapse are poor) a good idea?

I also have a Giant Propel advanced pro 2 which fits well and the TCR spec isnt too far off.

Any advice on which one to go for?

Should disc brakes be the only deciding facor or are there other pros and cons with each bike that may make the decision easier??

Any opinion on it would be great!
