Well i put TDG in anyway because if he is planning on another KOM raid this is a big stage. If not he'll be first out.
Other than him winning KOM I can't see why they're even there apart from turning their legs over.
I have Degendt in my standard team too but dropped him from my purist team. A lot less KoM points on offer in this race.
I had Cuadros in my standard team too but dropped him for Vakoc.
I can't see QS chasing for sprints in stage 5 & 6 and think they will try and get someone in the break, Vakoc can also sprint if Hodeg is dropped but going on my recent form Vakoc will probably score nothing all race.
Both Degendt and Cuadros are in the break.
I'm not brave enough to pick two breakaway picks...I've tried that before.
Well played Minardi. Will he be a serial breaker?
Cuadros ?
He was been in breaks on a few occasions previously.
I have doubts whether he will be able to stick with Degendt & Gougeaard if they up the pace.
Tomorrow will be different break riders as there are no serious KoM points on offer.
Yeah..don't recall him very often..but there are so many break riders. Mate in it today..he likes a break for certain.
And actually you're right...a big day today from TDG and he's half done the job nearly.
Leaving it late.
What’s going on with Lotto?....Is TDG the GC hope?...I can’t see who is their GC rider apart from him.
An embarrassment of riches...
Froome, S Yates, Quintana and Porte all missing from my team in a race that's mainly climbing who'd have thought?
Froome is my dither for the purist game....no rides and no form, apart from 91st in Colombia, and not even team leader....what could possibly go wrong.
Definitely think Bernal will be the chosen son for Sky, he's the one in form. I'm sure many were taken in by Froome's low price though so we'll see what happens.
He does seem to need to ride into form sometimes. Even when he gets a decent result he drifts on and off during the climbs in early season. Not getting him anyway...quite a few picks that look less risky.
Does anybody know how steep that last 1km is on stage 2?
4.5% I think
Perfect. Looks more on the diagram.
I went by PCS, if the final climb is tackled twice then it's just 1km at 4.5%. Lumpy finish though, and the cat3 a little while before would be enough to force a selection.

A few riders will enjoy that...Hodeg might be the only one I don’t know enough about on that kind of finish. He has his team as always but what’s he like on the lumps?
Start list full....a few ticks needed against them though...
Start list is still crap, hopefully it'll fill up tomorrow, then I can open the comp.
Nobody's been removed from the Bora roster on PCS so it seems it was always that way. Not sure who was meant to be going along. Maybe someone who was injured in the last week or so?
Aye...quite thin in places for a lot of teams...Maybe some are awaiting the end of the race on Saturday before declaring for any riders that are doubling up. If most of the headline acts listed end up racing then it’s a really good line up.
