What about the Tour of Britain DVD ? Cheap stocking filler !
My dad is also a huge road biking fan and is always over the moon with a nice cycling top or some other appropriate item of clothing!
Does he do DIY?
You could buy something from the Park Tools range?
Or a bike stand?
XTR cables?
Camelback?
why not get him one of Jo Burt's excellent prints off of the rouleur shop? not photography exactly, but hey. this is my fave:

does he wear shirts for work? I want some of these. http://www.shinycufflinks.co.uk/ but my girlfriend has failed to take the hint thus far.
I have some of those, after reading a review on here, and they are lovely. Wear them all the time.
My wife took the hint although when she first looked at the site they were out of the Campagnolo links I directed her towards.
She asked should she get the other ones.
Even after 16 years of marriage you never know what sort of depraved ideas people have do you.
