Looks like a transfer glitch, i've reinstated your credits so you can pick rider #9. I'll sort your points to when i get a mo
My gripe is that I only have 130.7 credits to play with. Surely it should be 170? Or have the rules changed? As it stands I now don't have any score from yesterdays stage - VERY frustrating. This started when I transfered in a rider, who is shown under the transfers, but he then doesn't appear on my rider roster. What can I do???
GALIBIER GASPERS in case you're wondering.
Thanks
It's not a bug: The transfer system allows you to allocate three riders from a team mid-transfers because sometimes you need to transfer in the third rider from the team before you transfer one out, for reasons of budget.
I'm afraid that's not true at all: the system warns you at the point of transfer that you'll have three riders from one team, and warns you every time you visit your home page, as soon as you have three riders from a team, until you sub one out. it doesn't 'wait' until the scoring run.
Thanks Dave. I'll try it again to see where I missed the warnings. But I still missed points for an entire stage due to that mistake, which I think is a bit unrealistic, but then it is a simulation Has anyone figured out how to cheat yet by retro-spective hacking I've looked at a couple of high scoring teams to try to work out the transfers. They all look within the rules but some do show some uncanny insight into unlikely high scorers.
The transfer approval system has a gap (bug?) in the logic in so much as it allows one to violate the three riders from one team rule by approving a transfer of a third rider in from a team. The system only catches up when it next tries to allocate points for a stage, at which point it allocates none (!) and reports the problem as a header on the team home page.
The system should flag up the violation when checking the transfer and then not approve it.
At the very least it should allocate points for the team without the addition of the rider that caused the violation.
I realise that this is a non-commercial piece of software and that we users shouldn't expect it to be perfect. Nonetheless it is a tad annoying to have dropped 65 points because of a checking error.
I guess I assume that if it's a computer program it will check that I am not breaking it's rules Oh well ....
I've reset your team to the one before last stage. try again!
See my comment on transfers please - where the system permits a transfer of a third rider from a team when really it shouldn't allow what is a violation. It only picks the violation up at the next points allocation and doesn't allocate any points at all for that stage - bummer.
Cheers Robert
