It's free god damn it! If we payed to play then maybe we could expect to get free transfers for unexpected withdrawals, but we've had a week to sit and wait. Everyday the roaster changes!

I personally have 6 riders grayed out!
But i'm lucky enough to still have 6 transfers to play with

It's not life and death to play this game, the life and death part is played by the pro's we pick for every stage! This is a Classic, it's anyones race not just the Star riders! Very much a luck thing!

I agree with Mogwai on this. I was 'forced' to make transfers early this week as I wasn't sure how good the wi-fi access would be at the Premiere Classe we're staying at this weekend (we just happen to be in France for the race and so I didn't want to take that risk before leaving home! Anyway, turns out the access ain't too bad here but of course now I have an injured rider in my team! At least I do have 1 free transfer left so can make this change but I think the rule isn't the best! It would probably be better if you could at least pick 2 or 3 reserves for each stage/race or something like that and one of them was automatically put into your team if 1 of your 9 riders doesn't start!

Don't feel like using the quotes so @enrique I believe TER is correct even though everyone has their own opinion. Should we get transfers for greyed out riders? Simple, no. I like the fact that people who actually do their research are rewarded, that way it takes more luck,skill, and smarts to win/do well in the game. People who don't? Your problem. It isn't like you couldn't spend 2 seconds of your day to look up the provisional start list of the next comp is it? So if you didn't it's your fault. A whole lot of teams had Canc on their team and instead of asking for another transfer they either used one to sub him out and have 3 transfers left, or they decided to make four changes and take the 20 penalty points. They were fine you should be too. You think it isn't fair? How so? Everbody gets the same amount of tranfers, same amount of time, same amount of riders, same restrictions. So how is that not fair? Unlimited transfers? Yeah, they might be nice but, wouldn't that be too easy. Besides, like I (and many others) have said, I like being rewarded for actually planning ahead. Why should you wait to the last minute? So, you don't swear and whine on the forums like now. I know I might sound rude but, seriously? It is a free game and quite good one at that. Dave and Co. work hard to improve it is better every year. If you don't like it either A. Stop playing and find something better to do or B. Enjoy the game, shut your yap, and suggest we do something different at the end of the year on the forum that ASKS you what you think. You might disagree but look at it this way, if we were to change it so two people liked it 50 people would hate it, including myself. Then there would be more requests for things that you didn't agree with but by more people. Then the game wouldn't be any fun, which is what the purpose of this game is, isn't it?

If you had a real team you wouldn't confirm the final team 5 days before the race. You'd do it right on the deadline in case someone got injured.

Quite apart from the attitude I have absolutely no sympathy for you. There's nothing in the rules saying you get extra free transfers and the question has been asked a number if times in the past couple of weeks so the answer was out there already. For DAYS the forums have had threads telling you to WAIT WITH YOUR TRANSFERS but you didn't listen and now you want an extra transfer.

If you don't like the rules, don't play the game. Many of us will have had Cancellara so have to replace him. That only leaves 3 transfers compared to somebody who didn't have Cancellara in their team in the first place, who would have 4. That's no different to losing a rider after you've made your transfers. Get a life....

So basically whenever a rider is greyed out you should get a transfer too?
So why should i be penalized then, beacuse one of your riders injured? you would get 5 transfers to my 4, but what if I wanted to make 5 transfers.

But this isn't a real team, you had to plan your team to fall into line with the number of transfers you have. So therefore handing out free transfers to anyone that has a rider or gets injured, just peanlises those who have planned well

3 of mine are injured and I hadn't planned on swapping them. That's just the game.

I cant quite understand your thinking on wanting a free transfer, its never been the case that injured riders etc should be swapped without penalty. Its luck of the draw.

That's just the way the Classics are played, I'm afraid. It can always happen, so if you're on a restricted transfer window, best practice is to leave it as late as possible. It's unfortunate, but them's the rules. Sorry

Nope, you've got to use a transfer or get docked the penalty points.
