Mike Hall looks to set record for round-the-world race

Mike Hall is in Spain having covered as of this morning over 27,000km in about 85 days or so averaging about 300km per day.  He is hoping to finish on 4th June at Greenwich.

I was hopiong to go down to Greenwich for the finish but I am riding on Monday.

Maybe he slowed down for me... Or maybe I'm a future tour winner I just don't know it yet  1 somehow I doubt it's the latter...
But again, he was on a track bike, I should have asked what gear he was using, it was impressive though. Steepest hill I've seen and I live in Wales.

I talked to him for a while on a bike ride, I caught him going up a hill that gets to 30%. He was a really nice guy and we talked a bit. Turned out he was grinding up the hill on a track bike. Saw him a week later on here and kind of chuffed he's doing so well. Closest I've come to meeting someone famous  1

From what I understand he is likely to arrive late evening - whatever day he finishes. His plan is sailing Cherbourg to Poole which is late morning. The 4th June is his 31st birthday as well.

maybe he could wander over to balham bowls club for the vulpine fete if he's back in the smoke on the 4th?
