In the months since I posted this, I've had to get rid of a couple because of illness and dependant on test results this week coming, I think all my uprights will be sold of to fund a specialist recumbent
Blimey, I will have to show your post to my other half.
She is moaning like hell because of the number of bikes I have got :
MTB - Marin for muddy bits
Retro- Peugeot Europa - currently a work in progress restoration into a PX10 lookey-likey
Work travel - Raleigh Pioneer (well somebody has to own them)
Bestest - Giant Defy 2
I just happened to mention the possibility of buying a bike to to try out some crossing this winter and she was on the phone to a divorce solicitor !
I need to show he how many bikes you have got so she can see it in a different perspective (i.e. let me have more bikes)
Mtb should be fun addition not a negative!
They are good fun. It's all bikes at the end of the day.
K will be you mate need to build you into the equation otherwise your nan may charge people to view the collection and put you out on the patio!!
Been away at a wedding and with some reflection the only way forward that I can see is 2(S)+(GH+K)+(OGH+G)=N+1 Negotiation will needed for the later part of the formula. But then algebra was not my strongest so I would take my workings out with a pinch of salt.
I can work everything out except the K.....
Kitchen? I've built bikes in there before. A bit like Obree, Doesn't go down well when living with someone else.
It's not an addiction as there are no mtb, bmx or 'cross bike in the line up. You are fine
MTB is like a swear word to me
BMX, I would like one, but no-where around here as in parks and stuff. Cant just ride it around on the roads
I have two cross bikes. I just class them as winter road bikes
Funny enough, I do see a CPN for a totally different reason. I should bring it up with her
Gkam, unfirtunately due to cuts in NHS Psychology, afraid there is no cure for your addiction! Carry on collecting?
Well my other adaptation of the formula was this
GH - N = 13 (+ 1 = Homeless)
OGH + G = N = 0 + more is good, been told I can use, but not have a key
So in Engerlish it looks like this
Granny's House = N = 13 (+ 1 = Homeless)
Other Granny's House + Garage = N = 0 + more is good, been told I can use, but not have a key
Because I live with on of my Grannies. I only use it as a base between job's. So really shouldn't fill it with bikes. Hence why I need a new shed. But my other granny lives just around the corner, has a garage and said I can use it any time, which I do for building up bikes when I have no room here. But she doesn't lock it and won't give me a key. So until now I've not left anything there overnight. Even with a nice anchor, I would be worried leaving anything there. Not that there is crime of any kind in the village. I still don't trust people.
Scroll down a bit. There are over 2000 pictures on that page.
Mine will be FULLY enclosed, With access to the wheels incase of punctures and then a boot at the back, with some sort of roof where I can climb in and out with ease.
But comfy enough, so in the event I do not reach my destination at any point. I can just camp in it
I take it that you are following the formula of n+1 ?
I have adjusted the formula slight
N = 13 (+ 1 = Homeless)
So for just now it is just N and if I don't get a new shed shortly It may have to be n - x (x being enough to keep myself in a house)
SOLUTION: You move into the shed and the bikes live in the house!! That way you can increase N
EDIT : just realised that that is the threat!!!
Not sure it's the bike addiction you need to concern yourself with but rather anthropophism of your collection!
Er, did you you just say you're going to build a bike with air conditioning?!
Mine has it built in, you just need to go faster to cool the airflow!
What's a velomobile then? We talking about a faired HPV or something?
Velomobile's come in various forms. Mainly based around a recumbent trike and fully enclosed

Slightly unfortunate that you chose a yellow one - I'm thinking immediately of this:

Which in turn made me picture this:

No, they all know their place
Recumbents in the shed as they are to big for the house. TT's in the bedroom as they fit in just perfect and the rest which get used most in the spare room.
If they rebel against me, they are gone.
Up until the start of the year. I only ever had one or two bikes. But after finally sorting things out with my insurance follow a crash that I got taken to court over and found guilty They did pay out.
So been buying things here and there. Like a frame from here and then a S/S from here. I had bits ready to build recumbents anyway. So been working on them.
Need space to attempt a velomobile this winter. Gonna try to make it quite fancy, but more for comfort. With some A/C hot+cold. Nice lights. Plenty of storage and then go on a road trip somewhere......Thats the dream. Now watch it fall flat on my face
Do you think that the bikes in the shed are jealous of the ones in the house? Or the ones in the spare room jealous of the ones in your bedroom? I can see trouble brewing...
I don't have any full carbon bikes and nothing with Ti
I have bikes in various stages of build. All owned by me, but used by others. Thats why I have 2 of most.
In the house
4 road bikes, 2 winter, 2 fine weather
3 single speed, Road, TT and Hybrid
2 TT bikes
In the shed
2 recumbent trikes
1 two wheel recumbent
1 project trike/velomobile winter project
13 bikes?! That is a bit overboard! What are they all?
Off the top of my head, with a lot more space (and cash) than I have, I could think of owning:
Best carbon road bike
Best Ti road bike
winter road bike
Fixie
MTB
potter-to-the-shops hybrid
That's still less than half of your lot - do tell us how this has come about!
I'm lining up a new shed. Thinking about a custom built one, So I can set up a TV and computer, then get myself a new turbo trainer as mine has died.
Then have work space for my stand and tools and a stand for some of my bikes. Hopefully fit them all in. If I get any more I've been told I'll need a bed out there aswell
Get them on ebay, thats what other theives generally do
