Well, I've got Txurruka in my standard. Ratto, Gilbert?, and Gavazzi for a sprint today. Hope to save transfers for Wed.
Ratto dropping off the back, not good!
Ratto has gone completely
Then a crash in the peleton has split it all up, only about 20 riders at the front
Its all gone wrong for my teams
Alan I was hoping to steal a march on you in the Forum's Scorum's with Choo Choo,Gilbert and Ratto so now hoping for Gerrans and Gasparotto to be up there at the close.
Gerrans wins! Gavazzi 4th! Toying between Gilbert and Gerrans and went the wrong way, but with mountain points probably pretty even
I'm not so sure as I had Fuglsang(5th) and Porte(8th) too plus the mountain points for Choo-Choo Txurruka!!
Hmm interesting on Cunego Ray, he never really factored in for me, had I wanted just 1 sprinter and not 2 then he would have slotted into my purists quite nicely. I spent the extra 4 credits and went with Quintana
My standard team is set up for a sprint finish amongst the strong men, Ratto is my tip for days 1 and 2 after his performance in fridays 1 day race. Then I will have 4 transfers to set me up for the summit finishes
Impey
Ratto
Vichot
Wegmann
Cardoso
Fuglsang
Spilak
Talansky
Contador
Purists has a decent balance between potential winners for each of the first 4 stages, a possible breakaway and a some guys that can put in a decent ITT
Talanksy
Porte
Peraud
Sanchez
Quintana
Spilak
Cummings
Ratto
Impey
I'm opening up with
Porte
Sanchez
Gilbert
Cunego
Fuglsang
Txurruka
Gerrans
Gasparotto
Ratto
Purists:Contador,Sanchez,Landa,Gerrans,Herrada,Cobo,Martin,Cunego,Porte
Got to say that I think Cunego's the real bargain in this race?
Ah, see I went for Albasini, but I kind of glossed over Impey and regret not picking him now.
I quite like my purist team but not so sure about standard, which is...
Albasini
Ratto
Gilbert
Ulissi
Porte
Gavazzi
Plus 3 cheap guys for a break...
Landa
Betancurt
E Garcia
Well wasn't really sure how to play this one so went for it like this....
Alberto Contador
Sergio Luis Henao
Michael Albasini
Diego Ulissi
Samuel Sanchez
Daniele Ratto
Francesco Gavazzi
Fabricio Ferrari
Angel Madrazo
Had considered Impey but see how today pans out
My standard team. Is picked and I have a spare 38.7. Units left over...oops...or is it a cunning tactic.
I wish I had pi cked sanchez for stg one.
impey
Gerrans
Slagter
Gavazzi
Ratto
Velits
Frohlinger
Fraille
Spilak
I cant see porte, contador, henao or tj doing much before the summit finishes...
Thanks guys, just took Mollema out of both my teams with an hour and a half til the deadline!
No such luck yesterday with Stijn Neirynck, who was a non-runner, but I doubt that cost me anything...
Anyone jumping on Shrek?
Got to do something soon hasn't he?
Even at 3 Credits?
take that as a no then
I think a similar tactic to Catalunya here although probably not as sprinty in the first 2 stages but certainly 4 guys who can win a small group finish and then 5 guys for the long haul so that by stage 3 I have 4 transfers to get the finishers out and the summit guys in.
2 Aussies,2 spaniards,3 Italians a scandinavian and a waffle!!
tip for the newbies http://www.sportdw.com/2011/07/tour-de-france-best-descenders.html
Skys line up is on their website http://www.teamsky.com/article/0,27290,28708_8609867,00.html
Ok, I have dropped Mollema.
With my purists, I have tried to pick the winner for every stage...so the two best sprinters (both from same squad), the two best in form climbers and the best two time triallers. Easy as that. Cough.
Yeah, its official, but there are still empty slots.
If they aren't filled by morning I'll strip out the missing people so all that's left are those confirmed then add in whoever is riding once the race starts.
http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/equipos-ciclistas-vuelta-pais-vas...
This is official. Mollema isn't riding! Quintana is!
Yeah, he and a couple of the Sky guys are no longer listed but replacements haven't been named, not sure if this is an omission or we're just waiting to find out who's riding.
Always always always check start lists separately rather than relying on us to be completely up to date, because in the run up to a race we can never keep up with all the changes.
Just FYI, Bauke Mollema is probably not riding but he's still on the start sheet. Pick him at your own risk.
Just because they aren't listed under the 'riding the next stage' doesn't mean they aren't riding, we're always playing catch up on start lists, sometimes even after the race has started. If you think someone is riding that isn't listed then you can find them by selecting 'all riders' from one of the drop downs.
I've started doing an update and I'll do another tomorrow.
Nice one, thanks.
Tricky job you have on your hands with start lists, and especially here as some teams still not confirmed their full roster by the looks of it.
Thank you I was not aware I could choose a rider who was not listed, I was just letting you know he was not on your list
I have seen Quintana on two startlists this evening too and he is not listed on the game?
I thought Quintana was riding this?
He's not listed in the game.
Intermediate sprints will be scored and that will be the jersey scored as well.
Are we using the Points(White Jersey seemingly for finishing positions each stage) or Sprints(Green Jersey seemingly for intermediate sprints or 'Meta Volante') competition top 5 for scoring purposes?
He is but was not confirmed at the time of the last roster update. He's in there now.
