Swapped Contador and Betancurt for Martin and Castroviejo, who hasn't done great!
Quintana going to win!
Quintana!!!
Current top 10 :-
1. Martin (Omega) 35:05
2. Peraud (Ag2r) a 51
3. Talansky (Garmin) a 1:08
4. Monfort (RadioShack) a 1:28
5. Velits (Omega) a 1:30
6. Castroviejo (Movistar) a 1:36
7. Kangert (Astana) a 1:39
8. Herrada (Movistar) a 1:39
9. Busche (RadioShack) a 1:52
10. Malori (Lampre) a 1:53
Everybody's started now. Time for the fun.
Velits 36.35 - 4th.
Talansky and Monfort have both gone faster than Castroviejo at half way:
1. Martin (Omega) 17:24
2. Talansky (Garmin) a 20
3. Monfort (RadioShack) a 34
4. Castroviejo (Movistar) a 38
5. Malori (Lampre) a 47
6. Kangert (Astana) a 51
7. Montaguti (Ag2r) a 54
8. Herrada (Movistar) a 56
9. Riblon (Ag2r) a 1:03
10. Silin (Astana) a 1:04
Given that Fraile and Martinez are only at 2:36 I think we can expect the likes of Porte to probably better Martin's time. I also don't think Malori or Castroviejo will be top 5 by the end of the day.
Current standings at the finish line
Meta:
1. Martin (Omega) 35:05
2. Castroviejo (Movistar) a 1:36
3. Malori (Lampre) a 1:53
4. Chernetski (Katusha) a 2:02
5. Silin (Astana) a 2:19
6. Fraile (Caja Rural) a 2:36
7. Egoi Martínez (Euskaltel) a 2:36
8. Maté (Cofidis) a 2:53
9. Riblon (Ag2r) a 2:56
10. Sicard (Euskaltel) a 3:03
Castroviejo has just gone second. Still at 1:36 though
Malori currently second however Castroviejo was second fastest at half way.
Tony Martin has caught 4 riders already.

Kept my team the same with only weening in instead of fraile. Hoping the gradient will be to steep for most after the climbing they have done this week
Navarro non-starter
I`ve gambled today on my fave rider at the moment Kiryienka....He is in great form and I think that Sky will want him to go hard to give a marker for Porte`s effort....However he did do a 60K TT yesterday and so he might be knackered...We shall see....
PORTE
CONTADOR
MARTIN
SANCHEZ
KIRYIENKA
MALORI
DIDIER
BETANCURT
TXURRUKA
Really enjoyed this Tour...proper racing....
Yeah, race of the year, so far!
Kiryienka - I like your style!
I'm amazed to discover I've still got 8 in my purists. Shame they're not TT'ers really.
Fingers crossed that it's too hard for Malori and Castroviejo because I've not picked them. Is it only me who's picked Monfort? I hope it wasn't a massive mistake, although I've nothing much to lose - can't win anyway but it would be nice to stay in the top 10 in Forum's Scorums.
Picking Martin probably would've been the sensible move, but I wanted to take a risk.
For me Intxausti was just too expensive, I think he'll do well but others were cheaper allowing me to get more TTers in my team.
Contador
Porte
Castroviejo
Intxausti
Spliak
Ulissi
Txurruka
Fraile
Betancur
Intxausti seems to be a less popular pick so... Go Benat! Also hoping Talansky gets a good result for my purist team.
Martin (for Contador)
Velits (Peraud)
Quintana
Sanchez
Porte
Castroviejo (Cardoso)
Malori (Ulissi)
Txurruka
Betancurt
Part of the reason I didn't confirm my team last night was because nobody else seemed to be picking Malori and I didn't want to remind everyone he was there
I kind of gave the game away.....Ooops
I remember people saying 'Note to self next time trial' with regards to Malori (and Amador) not that long ago(Tirreno Adriatico I think)and he's won the ITT at Coppi Bartoli since.
Similar team to mine except Fuglsang+Spilak v Velits+Betancurt
Going with
Contador
Porte
Peraud
Velits
Castroviejo
Sanchez
Txurruka
Didier
Betancurt
Only 4 left in Purist squad, mostly TTers!
Martin
Castroviejo
Porte
Fraile
Anyone seen a start times list anywhere?
First rider Albasini 14:10 BST
Henao 15:36 BST
Biciclisimo
Cheers. No full lists anywhere? I guess I'll just have to work it out for myself
If you go to steephill follow the link to vuelta pais vasco it gives you the full start time list at biciclisimo
Thanks for that. I must be in brain-fade mode. I should have been able to find that myself.
After dropping Sanchez yesterday (doh!) he's back today.
I'm gambling that Henao will have a mare.
Porte
Contador
Spilak
Sanchez (for Quintana)
Martin (for Henao)
Velits (for Caruso)
Txurruka
Didier
Betancurt
