Cheers dude!
Pinotti 4th at second checkpoint!
Martin 1'08" faster than anyone else so far at the finish
Westra has finished 2'49" down (so far)
Martin 51 secs up at the 2nd check point!
Also, Pinotti going well![16](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/16.gif)
Pinotti has gone 2nd fastest past the first checkpoint
30 seconds down on Martin
Nice to see Martin paying off, if nothing else he should be guaranteed a podium place even if Froome/Porte put in a flyer.
Anyone have a live video feed? one of the Aussie ones??
Martin seems to be flying, looks like he's over his stomach bug!
Hopefully some people took the gamble of leaving him out!
My hopes are resting on
Martin
Froome
Chavanel
Porte
Also hoping fugslang surprises people ....
Westra only 18th at the minute, unlikely to score anything today. De Gendt second and not doing particularly well, may manage a top 10 at a push but he doesn't look in great form ahead of the Tour.
EDIT: Castroviejo fastest at the second check, Martin fastest at the first (yet to reach the second) so both should be top 3 shortly. Not sure if anyone will dislodge Martin though even when the big GC favourites start.
Why the last 2 messages? Well, I didn't pick Westra and Dennis was my 10 pt penalty. Have I finally made a good choice or will it all go pear shaped again and spoil it for everyone who made the same picks![39](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/39.gif)
I'm hoping for the latter![19](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/19.gif)
Apparently. Rohan Dennis followed Jack Bauer in the team car. Interesting omens?
A tweet from vacansoleil this am :-
Unlucky @lieuwewestra still suffers from the crash and had a bad night, will be surviving today in what is normally his speciality.
So glad i dropped him![26](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/26.gif)

5.DOCKER M. OGE +1:02
20 point penalty
Froome
Martin
Dennis
Clement
Kwiatkowski
Hushovd
Fonseca
Cunego
Veilleux
I think this is where the race begins to be honest(in real-life terms anyway!!)
When I picked my standard team I basically picked a TT team and worked backwards into a stage 1 team(if that makes snese) so with a transfer saved I have:
Froome(GC lead tonight methinks!!)
Kwiatkowski(my man!!)
Veilleux(heard he's not bad on the aero's)
Fonseca(probably my only non-scorer today)
Martin(how can you not!!)
Dennis(he or kwia in white tonight)
Fuglsang(long term goodies and top 20 today no problem)
Pinotti(bargain!!)
Clement(overlooked by many?)
Martin,Pinotti and Clement to come out tomorrow
I wouldn't be surprised by a sky/opqs top 5 on today's ITT what with Froome,Porte,Thomas,Martin,Kwiatkowski and Chavanel and maybe even Kennaugh all able to excel?
Contador the unknown and I think we may see a few markers for Le Grand Boucle today?
super happy with that....3rd place on the stage to complete my set of badges plus a 180 and podium with 3 transfers for stage 5.
MARTIN
CHAVANEL
WESTRA
SANCHEZ
CASTROVIEJO
VEILLEUX
PINOTTI
SLAGTER
FONSECA
I ummed and ahhed over Castro too![39](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/39.gif)
How much time do you think Froome might make on Porte today? Seconds?![1](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/1.gif)
Days.
My team:
Froome
Martin
Chavanel
Porte
Elissonde
Pinotti
Veilliux
Barhane
Fonseca
Took the opportunity to bring in some cheaper guys so I can switch my team around after today. Froome/Martin/Chava for the podium today plus Porte top 5. Can't see Kwiatkowski doing as well as people think, he's still young and this TT is all about technique and experience.
I was torn between Chavanel and Westra...
Your team looks really nice!
All you probably have to do tomorrow is switch of Martin and Chavanel! ![1](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/1.gif)
Hope you're wrong there! 'Cause he's someone you wouldn't have to switch off for tomorrow!![3](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/3.gif)
and probably Pinotti but at 8 creds or so I've got him too.
was just picking my team and then boom the window slammed shut, did have 5 transfers in the bag, now I've only got two for Thursday! Any ideas?
not sure why youve gone valverde over froome at same cost, quite likely froome will be in yellow after today and valverde may not be in top 10! but you might have been transfer constrained... as I have been all the way so far, having started off on the wrong foot...
Anyway, 5 in for a 30 point penalty cost, as follows:
Christopher Froome (SKY)
Michal Kwiatkowski (OPQ)
Richie Porte (SKY)
Tony Martin (OPQ)
Rohan Dennis (GRM)
Thomas Damuseau (ARG)
Natnael Barhane (EUC)
Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg (ARG)
David Veilleux (EUC)
