TDS stage 8

Getting this going early, as yesterday firmly put me out of the running for a high position (although my purist team is going well, and could finish top 10)(and im off out).

So ive gone bold today as I think it will end in a sprint, due to how early in the stage the cat 1 is, and I also think Vrecer will now try to take the mountains jersey back as Euskaltel have done absolutely nothing on GC. Also today is the day for Wyss in the break. I have some GC basis covered too with kreuziger, Frank and Kangert. And I have 4 transfers for tomorrow to axe Kristoff, Sagan, Demare and Wyss

Sagan
Demare
Kristoff (for Mollema)
Vrecer
Sanz
Wyss
Kangert
Kreuziger
Frank

correct 5 points down to 1 for the cat 1, so he scored 5, everything else is as you said, amounts to 21

Can't edit the above but it's not 12 points for the Cat 1 that's race points not ff points

Points for being in the breakaway= 0
Edit

You could be right , just checked yesterday's stage and vrecer is as follows

Cat 1 1st over =12 points
Int sprint ,1st = 6 points
Mountain winner =5 points
Int sprint winner =5 points

Should be 28 points not 21 if the stage scoring was as described

If its 0 pts for being in the break,21 pts is probably right, someone mentioned the intermediate sprint and first over cat 1 didnt account for many pts.

21 pts for Robert Vrecer. How does that break down anyone? Was he in the break? Does that score? Must have scored more than 21 surely? Sorry Gkam, can you check his score again. 39

Probably an accumulation of the following and sounds about right:
Kom winner 5
Sprints winner 5

And 11 points gained in the breakaway today with mountain points and sprint points

How many pts is it just for being in the breakaway? Did he also crest the cat 1 climb and win the intermediate sprint? Is it only 11 pts for all that?

On the scoring shouldnt Vrecer have 28 points and not 21? he wonthe cat 1 climb which was 12 points, the first intermediate sprint at 6 points as well as the overall 1st place for both competitions at 5 points each?

The mountain points are scored based on the number of riders that score on the mountain, so for the cat 1 its scored from 5 down to 1 for 1st to 5th, so Vrecer scored 5 rather the 12 scored in the real life competition

It depends who you have got instead, but Cancellera is the only rider id consider over Rui costa based on the rest of my team

Bother - I brought in Kristoff & Demare as I had 2 transfers and thought that I'd do better with the two of them rather than Sagan and a cheap DS...

Same, so hoping most others have, I only bassically lost Mollema's points as that was the only change I made (13 points I think). Kristoff to be last man home would be nice

A bit late now I know, but it depends whether you think it will be a sprint or not
I think it will be but who knows. If a GC sprint I think someone like Rui Costa is quicker but we shall see

I bought Sagan and Demare in for today and they join Kristoff in my stage win options.

I agree with you about Wyss....he was already in(cue Elmiger or Alabasini in the break).

Rui Costa,Mollema,Pauriol,Amador and Saez.

It's then a basic Tejay and Kreuziger in for Sagan and Kristoff in the ITT tomorrow to round off what has been a miserable TDS for me!!
