Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories
Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes...
I just don't remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it's irresponsible.

38 years ago, I won't say a mate, a bloke who came into our sixth form from another school - I didn't know him especially well - smashed his father's car into a tree a couple of hundred yards from the school and was killed. I'd been to funerals for aged relatives, but not for a peer. I can take you to his grave, I can tell you his inscription.
Two boys were killed on their bikes by a driver* not long after I started middle school - they were fourth years, I didn't know either of them; the head did a full-on memorial assembly for them. That's getting on for 50 years ago. In both cases I could take you to the spot where it happened.
* on a wide road, one driver slowed to let them out of a side road, a second driver overtook the first
...slowly and painfully - driver was a German tourist so I do feel a bit sorry for him.

Cambourne drivers are obliviously right, as focussing on driving safely means loss of concentration on others using the public highway. It's obvious to everyone except Highways England, local highways engineers, local councillors, drivers, policing, CPS, judges, juries.....er...
His convertible converted the building from habitable to uninhabitable. Possibly because the building wasn't wearing hi-viz nor a helmet. His insurers claim the building appeared from nowhere, without signalling, into the path of their insured client. Obviously contributory negligence.

Built a bypass that takes most motor traffic over the railway line instead of under it. The underpass was also converted to one-way alternate working with traffic lights with (some) more space for cyclists & pedestrians.

That's lucky that it only hit someone in a car as it could have been very nasty to a pedestrian etc. I hope she recovers quickly from that
