Garmin 1030 Plus issue

My Garmin 1030 Plus did an update last week.  I went out for the first time since last night and the turn by turn prompts on the navigation weren't working.  I checked the settings and they were on (and I tried turning them off and back on again, but they still didn't work).  I googled last night to see if other people were having the same problem, but couldn't find anything.

Any ideas?  (I fully expect to find I've missed something obvious/done something stupid.)

In the past, with the 830. I've found that doing a factory reset helped with any problems after a FW update.

It is possible to restore any connected sensors, during the restoration process via the app.
But I've found it's best to add them manually again.

Also, use your phone's camera to photograph your unit's screen layout, so you can easily restore your data fields to your preferred locations.

I had this issue last week too - the navigation was showing on the map with the new chevrons and arrows but no audible bleeps to turn. So while on the course i stopped the navigation and then selected the course again and selected ride and then the audible bleeps started again. Also been fine since too.

Thanks for the reply.  Hopefully that means it'll work next time I go out (probably not today looking at the weather!)

Can't decide if I like the new chevrons and arrows yet - probably just a case of getting used to them!

I actually like the chevrons as it gives you a better idea of direction if there are a few turns in quick succsession. Hope you get sorted.

Yes, that makes sense.  Just a case of getting used to it looking different!
