Last week, my front brake started rubbing while out on a ride. No problem - popped the bike in the stand when I got home and adjusted the caliper. Sorted.
Took it out today and noticed it was still rubbing a little. I guess there's enough flex in the system that it can rub under load even when it spins cleanly unloaded. Well, it's a lovely day, I'm not going to let a noisy brake spoil my ride - pull over, flip the bike (shock horror) and whip out the multitool.
Ah. Flat mount. The bolts are right next to the rotor and the (oily) multitool doesn't really fit in the gap. (What was wrong with post and IS?) Bit of a faff, but adjusted again and back on the road.
Bugger. It's worse than before. Well, I don't fancy trying again - it was a pain and I damaged one of the bolt heads by turning the multitool when it wasn't fully engaged. Time to call it a day.
Back home, bike in the stand. Adjust, ride around the yard, repeat. This is a bit tedious - I'll sort out that loose cleat for a break.
CRASH. Oh, the bike's blown over in the stand. I didn't think it was THAT windy. Well, no harm done - bit of grass in the bar tape. Guess I'll get back to that brake.
Spin the wheels. Oh, something's rubbing a lot more now. Oh, that's the rear derailleur. Hitting the spokes. At a 45 degree angle. Oh.
Stupid flat mount.

I feel your pain! Time for a new bike I think, that will make you feel much better.
