Smart trainer

Looking for a cheap smart trainer that will do all the basics well. Rehab is tedious and I need some more incentive. Just dipping my feet in the water. Any recommendations?

I have a Tacx Smart Flow, with BC discount at Hakfords it came in well under the £200 mark, I go with Rouvy (real landscapes) rather than Zwift and it doess all you need for someone looking for fitness or winter riding.

If i spent £500, £800 etc. I'd have to justify it by riding inside whilst the sun is out 1

Depending on the age of your bike and whether it has a lifetime frame warranty, I would double check this article to see whether the manufacturer will allow it's use on a wheel on or direct drive trainer.

I should have said I’m currently on a cyclops fluid 2 with power meter at the moment. Just started playing on Zwift as injured and trying to make rehab fun. I will probably end up buying a DD at some point.

Kickr snap is good with a power meter built in. I have the direct drive Kickr V1, tough and built like a tank. I really took to indoor training and will choose it over riding in less than perfect conditions outside.

Buy cheap buy twice? I bought the kickr snap 3 months ago and it is an incredible piece of kit and half the price of direct drive, if you pay monthly would work out the cost of a costa coffee per week
