well im hoping for a top 10 for cadel, and then i can sacrifice him for cav on the last day. think im gonna sacrifice frank tomorrow for a should top 3 TT guy.
my big decision is do i sacrifice the guaranteed 3 points from jelle or the likely at least 4-6 points for tommy v?
I've made mine for tomorrow
Stage 63 IN:Hans DEKKERS OUT:Fabio SABATINI
Stage 63 IN:Fabian CANCELLARA OUT:Thomas VOECKLER
Easy enough, -10 for Sabatini, but if Cancellara wins he'll score more than Voeckler
well mine will be out frank schleck, in tony martin and out vanendert, in roy
does cadel have enough left to overtake AS in TT
a hundardt and twinty five pints as sean would say, too little too late.
by the way it took me 2 hours to climb the alpe d'huez, because the gathering crowds, use recreation climbers as entertainment in the few days before the stage, and much time was spent chatting to scottish and dutch people and sharing a drink for les vitamins
Hmmmm thats the overall stage 3 from the CD

Not 100% sure, but i dont think its ever been decided on the final stage, mainly because they dont race until the last few laps and its flat, so if someone tried to sneak the win if they were only a few seconds behind, other teams would shut it down because its not the "done" thing
Below you will find the TT result from the Dauphine, since I was a complete prat and copied the GC.
1989 Fignon- LeMond time trial. LeMond by 58 secs over Fignon, wins tour by 8 secs.
I think the way they have raced this year, "done things" are a thing of the past. But the GC will be decidded Sat.
65 sprint points at stake if Cave blinks too hard, and Rocas nicks it. Unlikely but possible. White jersey will also not be a foregone conclusion.
Breaks have gone out and stayed away on the champs elysees. Vino went off the front in 2005 and managed to stay out to take fifth place from leipheimer. If it's *really* close, it'll be a proper race on sunday.
@GKam: start your stage 20 topic so we can start discussing transfers, people's chances to win yellow / white jerseys and rest of the usual.
Could I maybe get some bonus points for having one of my riders finish the stage with a beer in his hand?
Who finished with a beer in hand?
"At least one Dutchman did his nation proud on Friday: caveman Laurens ten Dam picked up a beer 2km from the summit, which he managed to drink before crossing the finish line. Beats the champagne photocall en route to Paris, that's for sure." - Courtesy of Eurosport.
Surely that deserves a bonus?!
To be fair, i think he needed after looking like this earlier in the week http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01949/cycling_1949023i.jpg
Who can blame him, although when I read the headline "Ten Dam looking forward to racing up Alpe du Huez" I imagined his thoughts might be fueled by a valiant stage win rather than a cold one on Dutch corner.
I dont think thats the question, i think its, Has Andy got the legs to hold off Evans
Yeah but that was a TT final stage instead of the cruise around Paris
The only other notable one would be 87?? i think when Stephen Roche won, did someone not try to attack and take the win from him
thanks for the great info- i'm from USA so have to excuse my lack of TDF knowledge
I see i have mis-written this
I know Roche won that tour, but someone tried to take some time back, but the whole pack rode to pull him back in because as any pro rider knows, Paris is the final stage and is rode as a procession until the last few laps where the wind up for the final sprint, but i think this year could be interesting because Rojas and Cav will be battling for Green
i reckon that wearing the yellow jersey is gonna spur him on to do the tt of his life, on paper Evans should beat him, but it will be very close which ever way it goes.
if there's a couple of seconds difference going into Paris will they race or concede as is tradition-has the yellow ever been decided in Paris in recent history
Joint 12th on the stage. Best ranking ever
Though this means that I'm now stuck with a mountain team in an ITT & flat stage.
All I'll hope is that Cadel finishes outside top 20 tomorrow and Andy retains yellow
yeh you beat me by 14 and gkam by 4 to extend you advantage over me to 26 points in the tdf, big decisions for tomorrow now
buggar forgot that, i reckon ive got 112 points so you will have 122
OH HANG ON
Jeannesson 3rd over the inter sprint
Jeannesson will score 2 point for 4th in young riders
I had today
Evans
Sabatini
Mollema
Frank Schleck
Voeckler
Rolland
Jeannesson
Taaramae
Vanendert
yeh i reckon you beat me by 2 points
well gkam mollema wont score for you, and uran wont for me, so unless jeannesson scores any points (i have malori) i reckon we have the same team for the rest so same points
