Thanks Dave. I'll need it!
PS I would still be top of the purist league if i hadn't made a transfer, (boast, boast)!!
Any way you can program a purist and transfer league for each competition. Not too much to ask, is it?
As someone with a moderate knowledge of programming I appreciate the work it must have taken to have made the improvements you have made. It is much easier to use this year. I used to make my calculations on paper, now I can just click a few buttons. Like the rollovers too, just hope I've used them wisely. Just a pity we can't watch a bit more of it as well. A few highlights isn't much.
Alan
good luck with the rest of the tour alan!
Hi Dave,
I was never really in for the purist thing, although I would like the option of being able to do both as I see value in choosing a team for the whole tour and one for the first stage or two. I like transfers even if I sometimes mess them up, but yesterday it seemed to pay off. Now I just have to hold off the baying hounds after my blood!
They're my wheels I tell you!
3 stages in an I am starting to loose my resolve. Trying really hard not to make any transfers (Note to Matt Goss, the front is that way ---> )
I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be a in the purist league during a grand tour, I would have to block road.cc so that I didn't make changes.
(Any chance of a purists lock Dave, so that we can lock in our teams at the start of a race)
nope. you'll just have to man up![4](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/4.gif)
I see alan tullett caved. he's going for the wheels...
ok
maybe I'll make some transfers tonight then.
Thanks
Alan
not really![4](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/4.gif)
Well, not on a par with the wheels, anyway.
Hi Dave,
hadn't really thought about the purist league that much, but now suddenly I'm top of that and third in the overall. I'm thinking, "Which one should I go for?"
Didn't change anything last night because I was busy, kinda forgot and I didn't really want to. (Glad I went to the UniSA site as well, very useful!)
Could you be so kind as to indicate if there's going to be a decent prize for the purist league as I do quite fancy the wheels on offer in the overall if I was so lucky as to win them.
Quite frankly there's only one rider I'd really like to change tonight and that's Goss, and who knows he might come good. (If he's injured or out I haven't had any time to check).
Thanks in advance for any help with this conundrum.
Loving the game. Got another teacher at work who does it and we have some good banter,
yours
Alan
I've scored 157 points so far.
U know how it works? - We can change our team after every single race - just not during a race! ![26](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/26.gif)
He already got a pretty impressive last year and I've chosen him almost every single competition since I play this game here. Valverde is going to be solide again. I think I'm gonna go with him for races like Dauphine or the Ardennes classics but I dont think he can win a Grand Tour this year. ![4](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/4.gif)
Really good rider is Boasson Hagen.
incidentally, purist leagues are now up and running
I've never really thought about trying the purists competition. If anyone is doing it I'd be interested to know if you've scored any points yet. Are there any riders doing the TDU who are going to really shine in 2012? Maybe Valverde but he's probably a risky one?![39](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/39.gif)
Purist rules are that you can change your team in between competitions, but not during them. So you don't have to have Valverde all year.
And no, before you ask, you *can't* have some kind of super-purist league, it would be silly![4](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/4.gif)
still gotta build that bit![4](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/4.gif)
Ah ok, cool. Thank u Dave.
There will be a purists' league for each competition, and an overall one too.
