Without crunching the numbers, I don't think my position has changed in relation to Wig_Billy. Sammy winning and 2nd in GC is not that different points wise from Cunego 5th today, 8th GC and Matrin 8th today and 4th GC.
However, given the performance of Sammy, Cunego, Martin, Uran and Gavazzi, both of us should of increased our lead over the other teams.
So unless major accident or disaster strikes, the only risk to Wig_Billy losing is LuLu winning the stage tomorrow in a breakaway. Because Sammy, Cunego, Martin & a dozen other riders are not going to let each other out of their sight.
My chance of losing 2nd place is for a breakaway without LuLu taking the stage. And given LuLu performance so far, the second is far more likely.
Right the points

Well it looks like Montana Carrot is running away with this after another high score on the stage
And he is also the only player without Valverde in his team....Interesting
Now Montana Carrot is down to 3 star riders like everybody else as TJVG climbs off the bike after the 2nd of the 4 climbs today.
I think Uran has climbed off!!
The day saw a multitude of riders abandon. The bad weather cut the stage from 210.9km to 155, and eliminated the final two Hors Categorie climbs. It was expected that the stage would not be counted for the GC rankings.
All the riders below either didn't start or abandoned!

Gaetan Bille LOT
Damauseau
Bessy
Paolo Tiralongo
Julian Dean
Frantisek Rabon
Grischa Niermann
Daniel Navarro
John Horrac

yep seen them, nothing on who went over the cat 1's 1st. Gonna see what info is given in the morning before doing points
They didn't do the cat 1s apparently
It was the Hors cat they didnt do, they do did 2 cat 1's before which i have no results for
I know i'm not playing this, but i thought there were no points or times handed out today, the way they finished on the road was just that and everything else about the stage was cancelled?
I'm pretty sure the stage should not have gone ahead considering these pictures http://www.steephill.tv/volta-a-catalunya/ and that is why this
"There was still some conjecture that riders who abandoned Wednesday would be allowed to take the start Thursday.
“We’re in the dark as to whether they could start tomorrow."
http://velonews.competitor.com/2012/03/news/chaos-at-catalunya-nearly-40...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Volta_a_Catalunya#Stage_3
Just thought i would add, if something like this happened in the game outwith this forum version, there would be NO points for todays stage
I don't care what you do with points, even though all I would get was like 2 or 3 points for 18th. Whatever's fair.
We will cancel points then for the stage as if only yesterdays points for the stage plcings would count noone would have scored more than about 15 points
Did you see the pictures of the team cars and buses stuck at the finish??

Yeh was awful. All the riders that abandoned yesterday were unable to start today. there were alot!
