Southampton drink-driver hid in bushes after fleeing scene of crash
pretty sure we'd have had the original story of this, which happened last November
"Mitigating, Stephen Tricker said Tudorache left the scene with good reason.
He said: “He was surrounded by a number of people and he was concerned for his safety.
“He returned to his home address, which is only a few yards away, and he was not difficult to trace as the car is registered to him."

"Birdcage Walk, Westminster this morning, just by the Treasury. 20mph. Quite amazed by how wrong this driver got it. "
Ranty Highwayman -
"You *really* don't want to be running into an HVM feature at any real speed as you're probably not surviving. This appears to be a relatively low speed crash."
"A school bus with pupils on board on their way to take exams became stuck under a bridge in the same spot where it happened last year."

umm
Not sure how he was insulated

Not local to me, but not sure where else to put this:
Armed cyclist given help getting high from the police
"The railway bridge should have had better situational awareness and been wearing hi-viz"

This is what we're dealing with right now. No trains can run between Glasgow Central & Paisley Gilmour St in either direction until our engineers have checked that the bridge is safe to reopen. They can only do this once the bus has been removed.
Lorry crashes into railway bridge in North Walsham in Norfolk
There seems to have been a bridge bashing bonanza these last few days.

Building crashes into car !!
Rubble, bricks and boards: Roundup of car crashes into Teesside homes being probed by police
There's been several incidents since the start of the year - some of which left homeowners 'terrified'

Car crashes into wall on Oxford street in 'hit and run'
The wall wasn't wearing hi-viz or a helmet, they should have put the cones out before the crash so that the wall was visible

Bolton: Car crashes into road on busy road, Astley Bridge
The headline makes no sense and the body doesn't make it any clearer. How do you crash into a road? There was a driver though

Car collides with building on A352 Main Street in Broadmayne

I reckon the culprit for all these driverless car crashes has been found: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-nottinghamshire-65857348
'Sheer panic' as car smashes into Tamworth kebab shop while staff are inside
'You wake up and think it could have been a completely different story. We had people in the shop literally minutes before.'
“A 59-year-old man, from Tamworth, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property over £5,000 and drink driving."

Building evacuated after woman crashes Mercedes through wall

From the video it looked like the impact cut all power in the bus, which then had no brakes, the careened into the house. Which is a tad worrying.
£300,000 damage.
"You can't park that there, mate"
And across the land, parties supporting LTNS, 20 mph limits and emissions zones are all doing well at the polls, despite what the loud mouths say.
That's no plaice to leave you car.
"Both occupants were fine, but the passenger opened the door and fell into the canal."
When will passengers take some responsibility for their safety and wear lifejackets?
I love a good war memorial one! At the going down of the sun and in the morning we may remember them ... but probably won't see them.
Firstly, the vehicle's on rubber tyres and secondly, the cab was probably acting as a Faraday cage.
Quite a few injuries, looks nasty. Problem here is 2 modes of public transport are now out of commission - and looks like no-one's getting through there. At least you should be able to pass under the railway on the parallel street.
Presumably this means a training course for someone, at the least?
I reckon they swerved to avoid the hi-viz cones
The Edifice Strikes Back!
I wondered if there was something on the underside impacted by the railings it felled because as you and Andy observe, its lights all go out and it appears to be out of control after that.
Crash helmet at that height. Canals aren't very deep either !
Swim away from the boat until the propellor is off.
I shall be doing physics A level when I retire, then I will know about these things.
Not sure if you could see the video but the driver needs to be banned for having his tipper in the upright position.
Rust shall not weary them, nor the tread pattern condemn
A course entitled "how to recognise that you're driving a double-decker bus".

Why was it a "crazy" driver ? The actual facts of the situation are that it took evasive action to avoid a cyclist zipping on and off the pavement. The cyclist got away and now the owner is left with a write off!
